The short version? Door knocking sales is common for this industry, we got a new roof, are satisfied, and would recommend. The details? Every house has a roof, which is a critical part of the structure to the point where problems can only be overlooked for so long... Yet unfortunately, needing a new roof is probably amongst many home owners' worst nightmares due to the cost. Our roof was on borrowed time, something established in our home inspection when we bought the house. We finally bit the bullet wanting to address the issue before problems arose a few years after we purchased. Before I get into the nitty gritty: Yes, initially we were approached by the door to door salesperson doing neighborhood canvassing. In general, does anyone truly enjoy this approach? Probably not, whether it was the vacuum salesmen of old or the newer knocks from roofers, solar, and home security companies. Regardless of reasons from suggestions on who to vote for every November to why you need their current home security system, door knockers can sometimes be persistent, even aggressive or desperate in their live interactions with people because their actual paid job and livelihood depends on live engagement at the door, booking potential customers or some other metric. Companies still utilize this practice because it must work to some degree. I did not interact with our canvasser, but did not hear any complaints from the person who did. Even if there was, it's generally a job I allow for some patience and berth when I interact with a door knocker. Now onto the main course, shall we? The sales presentation was longer and more expansive than I would have preferred, but they weren't the first company to have this approach either. Southern National Roofing was not the only company we had gotten an estimate from, we have gotten several estimates over the years and had an idea of where we should and wanted to land. I'm not gonna lie, the first couple of suggested estimates probably had our eyes bugging out of our heads, as sticker shock never seems to get easier to handle. We did eventually negotiate exactly what we wanted for the price range we hoped for. They also helped with financing. I guess a new roof is alot like buying a car. The actual roof tear down and installation left us satisfied with their work. The crew was polite and accommodating when we needed to get by. The installation was mostly on time. They did need to wrap up the next morning, but they were quick. Clean up actually surpassed our expectations, especially regarding leftover nails. They did a very good job of getting not only all the obvious debris, but also the most nefarious part of roof work, all those stray nails. We've only found a handful of elusive nails so far. For comparison, we were picking up wayward nails for weeks after we purchased our home. An urgent care visit and tetanus shot via attack nail are not on my bingo card this year or hopefully ever. Yes, I do recommend Southern National Roofing for your roofing needs. We are happy customers, with less anxiety knowing we have a new roof over our heads.

We recently had our 2500 sq ft roof replaced, to include the OSB layer, by Southern National Roofing. We opted for the architectural shingles and all the highest quality protective underlayment to prevent any leaks. The entire project, from the initial presentation by Arthur Nigoghossian in which he discussed the company’s impeccable qualifications and explained everything about the high quality materials to be used for the entire roofing replacement, to the installation of the roofing materials and the protection and cleanup after the job completion, was done outstandingly! We had several roofing companies come out to represent their companies and provide estimates, but Arthur surpassed everyone with his knowledge, professionalism, and quality of presentation of the company and materials to be used. Arthur was quite exceptional! The date was set for tear off of the roof and installation, which would have taken one day, but took two because we opted for all plywood to be replaced. Both teams did an awesome job from start to finish. There were only 3 minor issues with the roof that were taken care of by the crew after Arthur did his quality control inspection. Luis and the installation crew took care of everything to ensure we had 100% customer satisfaction! Because of Arthur and the entire Southern National Roofing team, our home really stands out now and is so aesthetically pleasing!!! Southern National Roofing has received an exceptional 5 star rating from us!!!!! We highly recommend them for your next roofing project!

My experience with Southern National Roofing was the best! Everything was done in a timely manner. And my roof looks amazing! The crew was nice, friendly and professional. I would use them again and I would recommend them to my family and friends.

It is a pleasure for me to recommend Southern National Roofing Company. My need was to replace a roof that had suffered wind and weather damage over a period of years. I got several estimates from other companies. However, Southern National was the best pick based on its reviews, friendliness of staff, and a strong feeling of trust. I was contacted by Arthur and shown a wide variety of options for materials. After making my choices a contract was agreed upon, financing was available, and work began. The materials were delivered the next day and actual work began the following day with the crew arriving at 7:30 am and getting right down to removing the old roof and finished by 1:30 pm. They covered all of my vegetation with tarps and were respectful with my belongings. When the crew left they had picked up every scrap and particle they created. My new roof is beautiful! The installers were professional , polite, and industrious. I contacted Southern National Roofing for an estimate and Dylan responded. He examined my roof and attic and spent much time explaining the various types of roof replacement available. He is very knowledgeable and worked with me on price and financing. I would recommend using Southern National Roofing if you want quality materials and experienced workmen.

Southern National Roofing is hands down one of the best roofing companies. My roof was neatly done at the exact time frame given. Now, I said that they are the best because 90% of my neighbors did their roofs and nothing compares to mines that was done by southern national roofing. I have had neighbors told me about the faulty work done on their roof, the hefty price and bad customer service. With Southern National Roofing I had/have no such problems. Auther, was my representative, he was very knowledgeable about roofing and could’ve tell me exactly what I have known myself about my roofing. He give my wife and I enough time to discuss our choices and even worked with us to get a better price range. The work and workers were exceptional. After the work was completed, everything was cleared away like no work was ever done. If you want quality work and work that will last years then these guys are your best choice. I can't speak for the quality of work, but they seem somewhat predatory. Someone knocked on my door while we were eating dinner so I didn't answer but I wish I did. They left a flyer with issues they saw from a street inspection. One issue was visible leaks. I'm not sure how they would have seen a leak from the street, and it hadn't rained in at least 24 hours. Another was raised/loose flashing. We had very recently had the roof inspected by 2 different independent contractors because we recently purchased the home. We had all of the issues repaired. I can see all of the flashing that I know was repaired from the street. I understand that businesses need to do what it takes to get business, but it's not cool to try to scare people into getting work they may not need. The rep wrote in "visible leaks". There is no way he saw an active visible leak. This is also a non-solicitation neighborhood.
