TL;DR: ServPro’s remediation team was excellent, but the reconstruction process was plagued by poor communication, delays, and unacceptable workmanship that required additional out-of-pocket repairs. While a partial refund was issued, the experience was frustrating and avoidable. I recommend hiring your own contractor for reconstruction. FULL REVIEW: I hired ServPro for both water remediation and reconstruction. The remediation team was excellent! They were communicative, timely, and truly exceptional in customer service. Elia treated my home as a priority and ensured I was informed daily. That experience was so smooth that I chose to continue with ServPro for reconstruction, assuming the same level of care. Unfortunately, that was not the case. From the start, communication and scheduling became unclear. Cabinet measurements were taken, but the cabinets ordered didn’t fit my kitchen. I was later told they only come in one size, raising the question of why measurements were ever needed. The cabinets were installed on stilts, leaving exposed wall damage, an unacceptable result from a "professional rebuild team." Installation was delayed multiple times and ultimately performed incorrectly. Deadlines for flooring, appliance installation, and plumbing were repeatedly missed without honest explanation. I ultimately had to hire my own contractor just to finish the work. Plumbing connections were reinstalled improperly, and the drywall team covered my microwave outlet with no access point, both of which required costly fixes. When I escalated my concerns to senior leadership, the blame was placed on me, the client, which was frustrating and dismissive. Eventually, Josh reached out to discuss my grievances. He refunded the portion of work that was not completed and offered an additional credit for the inconvenience. While I appreciate that gesture, it doesn’t erase the stark contrast between the outstanding remediation experience and the poorly managed reconstruction. What should have been a straightforward process turned into delays, added expenses, and avoidable errors. ServPro’s remediation team truly deserves credit, but based on this experience, I recommend seeking your own reconstruction contractor. ServPro’s reconstruction division needs serious improvement in communication, workmanship, and accountability.

These people are a scam. They promised a free estimate which was a complete lie. We called them looking to get an estimate on specific things with my house. Told them we didn’t want to waste anyone’s time, so made sure to ask if they were sure on it being free, it was assured it would be. They go to the house and set up this camera looking thing on a tripod that I assume was looking around the whole room, did that in every room of the house even though we were very specific that we were looking for wall cleaning, possible painting, ripping out of carpet and if something they offer at a reasonable price new carpet as well. They were full aware of the situation. So then days go by and still no estimate. Called a few times to be told we’d have it soon. Well on the 3rd day they sent an email of a bill for $250 and still no estimate. Called and spoke to a woman who basically told us too bad, that’s the way it is. Would not recommend this company to anyone. Be very careful and mindful of what they say because they will straight up lie to you just to get into your home. Very disappointed

Eddie and his team were extremely professional, helpful, and made the process run smoothly. Best in San Diego .They made sure to keep me and my family updated throughout the process and made sure to let us know when and what hours they would return. Highly recommend their team.

Had issues at my place and DryMedic came out quick after my call. Super nice guys, explained everything and got it all dry in a few days. Really happy with the service, they actually care. Would call them again for sure.

I have had the pleasure of working with SERVPRO of San Diego City SW in a professional capacity for a number of years. They have always been prompt, responsive, and treated my clients well. I recently had a flood of my own and experienced for myself the same high level of service I have counted on in service of my clients. Great people everywhere from the technicians up through the owners. My flood damage was stressful enough, but this team greatly eased the process of getting my home back together.

Freddy Zamora repaired a hole in our ceiling from a water leak. He was on time, very professional and did amazing work. He was extremely meticulous in making sure every detail was taken care of, including cleaning up afterwards.
