1 Star Owners, 5 Star Technicians - Average Mid One spring broke 2.5 years ago, recommended to & called Smith's. Paid for & was told they would replace both springs. Should get 5-7 years.......average. Now the spring on the opposite side from the original break blows out. Huh? Odd?? Both were replaced. Called Smith's. Day before a Holiday, open appointment, I appreciate the guy that shows up. He even says the springs should last way longer. Called the office & they shot him down......No discount......no warranty on their parts. Full price, replace both again. Gotta get it fixed. Tech showed me 2 new springs, verified install of both & showed me other maintenance items he was completing. Sad that companies don't stand behind their work. This is ONLY my personal experience. Looking at other reviews, this does not line up with normal & that makes it even more disappointing. Like I said, they came to me recommended, were responsive, techs have both been professional & attentive............just be aware that the owners DO NOT stand behind the parts they install to last a normal life cycle.

I was told by other companies that my garage ceiling was to low for regular motors, well smith garage doors made it happen and they saved me money! Everything looks and works great! Fery satisfied

Smooth, showed up explaining to tech what happened, fast got right to work knew exactly what he had to do, efficient was done in no time, checked his work and was on his way!!!! Excellent no complaints at ALL!! And for what it cost me, no complaints I needed to be able to open my garage door that was the most important thing!!

Door came off track. Called Smiths made appt for next day. They had someone cancel before my appt the next day so they called to see if I wanted or could move my appt up, which they did. They arrived on time, completed job quickly and efficiently.

Smith replaced my doors and openers from the 1990’s, Did great work!

I had some springs break on my door this holiday weekend and was able to have this repaired same day! This was unexpected and delightful! The rep was polite and quick and overall a great experience. Will recommend and use any other time something happens!

When I needed to replace my 2 year old garage door (due to original poor installation by McIllwain Garage Doors), I contacted at least 3 companies for bids. I received the best customer service from Smith’s and they gave me a competitive bid. The installer, Brian S. was very good at assessing my garage issues and took the time to make adjustments to ensure the door would operate safely & smoothly. They did forget the decorative window grids so they returned 2 weeks later with them.
