I had an issue with shingles on my roof which were detached because of a defect. James from UBL came out and explained what was wrong and also identified other minor issues which he clearly explained to me as to what the issues were. Claudia and James were also super easy to schedule with and took a lot of time to explain what the issue was and even explain the overall design of my roof. Will definitely work with them in the future too !

I hired UBL Roofing to inspect a roof on a condo I was planning to buy, and I was really impressed by their professionalism and honesty. James, the owner, came out right away and took the time to walk me through everything he found. The 20 page report they sent afterward was extremely detailed and clear, with photos and specific notes that helped me understand the condition of the roof. Their inspection ended up saving me from a bad investment and potentially serious issues later on. What I appreciated most was how transparent they were about pricing and how thorough they were before giving any estimates. Each step of the workorder estimate was priced out with explanation, making it simple to compare to other roofing estimates if trying to shop around. In my experience, a lot of companies start low and add costs later, but James made it clear that he works hard to avoid that. UBL Roofing is reliable, responsive, and clearly takes pride in their work. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone who wants an honest and detailed assessment from people who know what they are doing.

UBL Roofing did an excellent job fixing the roof on our Jersey City home. James and Claudia were prompt, professional, and took the time to explain everything thoroughly from the owner’s perspective so I fully understood what needed to be done. Since I’m leasing out the property, there were some extra steps involved with coordinating access with my tenant, and they handled it all with patience and clear communication. James & his team at UBL were excellent. He provided a very detailed cost proposal to be transparent about all work being performed. He offered much more than other roofers for a fair price. He handled small items that came up as extras during construction without charging us. He showed up with a large crew which made us feel good about them performing a thorough job. Highly recommend UBL. We are confident we’ll get more years out of our roof because we chose them over other roofers.

I have nothing but great things to say about Claudia and James. From the moment I met them I felt the passion they had for the business and the high level expertise James has for his craft. The way he has built a team and navigated this industry has been nothing short of exemplary. He has carved a very well-established niche for his company in a very detail oriented market and has exceeded expectations on many projects.

If you're not into reading long reviews, here it is: hire these guys. My experience with UBL was terrific start to finish. Had a leak in a new construction home (after being in for less than a year) and had a persistent leak in our bedroom almost every time it rained. After a fast and efficient few days of work, the leak is taken care of and I don't have a sense of dread every time I see rain in the forecast. The office staff are responsive and professional and James and his crew are the absolute best. The work itself is first rate, James walks you through everything (and documents everything with photos, which is SUPER helpful for filing insurance claims) and his guys are respectful of your home (they covered every step from my front door to my roof deck in drop clothes to keep things clean). I could go on and on, but I made my point in the first sentence. Hire these guys, you won't be sorry.

James and his team replaced two of our skylights with new ones because the old ones were leaking. His team is really responsive and professional. They gave a really fair price especially because their work is really top notch. We couldn't be happier with their work.
