WARNING TO ALL HOMEOWNERS – I am preparing legal action after my repeated experience with US Foundation Repair and its owner, Bill. I originally trusted US Foundation Repair because Bill claims he has owned this company since 1989. With 35+ years in the business, you would expect professionalism and at least a basic understanding of the Texas Residential Construction Liability Act (RCLA). Shockingly, Bill shows zero knowledge of RCLA requirements and repeatedly behaves in ways that violate the law. This is not my first problem with them. This is the SECOND time in 10 years that the exact same area of my home has failed—same location, same cracks, same movement returning. A "lifetime warranty" means nothing with this company. When the foundation issues returned, I contacted Bill to honor the warranty. Instead of standing behind his work, he became dismissive, confrontational, and blamed everything except the original workmanship—exactly like many other reviewers have described. It’s the same pattern over and over: they take your money, the foundation fails again, and then they refuse responsibility. Despite owning this company for decades, Bill does not understand the basic RCLA rules he is legally required to follow, including: • Responding properly and professionally • Providing a compliant repair plan • Avoiding intimidation or pressure • Honoring warranties Not one of these requirements was met in my case. His behavior inside my home made my family uncomfortable, and multiple licensed professionals have raised serious concerns about the way the original work was done. After reviewing public complaints, speaking with engineers, gathering photo evidence, and now experiencing the same failure for the second time in a decade, it is clear this company has a long-standing pattern of poor workmanship, dishonored warranties, and evasive behavior. I am currently assembling my evidence—photos, videos, engineering reports, communication logs—and am preparing to escalate legally under Texas RCLA and any other applicable statutes. Do not risk your home or your money. Avoid US Foundation Repair and Bill at all costs.
To bad I can't give negative stars or I would. I hired this company in 2008 to repair the foundation in my home. A guy came out and was very nice. At the time I though they were a good company. In 2018 I noticed the cracks coming back in my walls on the inside and out. I called them, they came out and they charged me $100 dollars I think it was to inspect THEIR work. After inspecting it they advised that the foundation was rising in the middle and I possibly had a leak in a pipe under my house. So, two plumbing companies came out and no leaks. I then decided to get second opinions on the foundation. The two biggest foundation companies in Houston came out (at different times) and had the same findings. My house was sinking, not rising. Needless to say I got my foundation fixed correctly by another company. As they were fixing my foundation they showed me several things that were done incorrectly. They removed the blocks that US Foundation had put in and completely leveled and supported my foundation. US. Foundation is cheaper than others, but you get what you pay for. I wouldn't let US Foundation level my travel trailer.
Called this company today, on a Sunday and I was surprised that the owner Bill answered and helped me with my problems on identifying the gravity of my foundation issue. He patiently asked me questions and gave advise how to deal with the crack in my tile, foundation and door not closing right. He advised me how to prevent further damage in my foundation as well. Thank you so much for your time and willingness to help me out over the phone. I normally do not write reviews but today I did.
All I can say is my foundation work was done fast and painlessly. What I thought was going to be an ordeal turned out to be nothing of the sort. Bill and his crew were fast and efficient, and I would certainly recommend US Foundation Repair to anyone. Thanks so much Bill & Connie!
Initial service was routine, warranty service is ''Lip Service''..Find another company that will stand behind its warranty and that will still be around in the years to come when transferring a warranty for a home sale might be the case. The owner came after the second contact for warranty, rechecked work with a 48" level, claimed it was within specifications or quote ''Close Enough'' but meanwhile I have all the original cracks that were closed and sealed by US Foundation open again and one new one, the level was more than a half bubble off in the area I suspected the trouble to be in. Keep in mind that other foundation companies will work behind US FOUNDATION but charge for all piers adjusted as if they installed them even though they did not install them initially. I'll be paying another company for repairs and going to small claims court on this matter with photos and other opinions/estimates and let a judge make a decision on this.. ONE STAR TO ALLOW THE REVIEW TO POST OR IT WOULD BE ZERO STARS for NOT standing behind the original warranty. Reading other reviews reveals cancellation of contracts and similar complaints as this one, look around and see for yourself. Save yourself the grief and waste of money and find another company.
