After realizing we were going to have to replace all of our son's polybutylene plumbing underneath his house, we searched and received different quotes from different contractors. The one that stood out to us was Veterans Plumbing. Matt was the most knowledgeable and professional of all the ones we talked with. He answered every concern we had and put our minds at ease. He even lined up the drywall person to finish the work as well. They scheduled us for a possible 4 day project, but it turned out to be just a couple of days. Of all the plumbers in the Treasure Valley, we would have to say that Veterans ranks up there with the best. Their service and work ethic is impeccable. We will definitely go with them again if the need ever comes up. This review was easy to make and will recommend them to anyone having plumbing issues. Thanks again guys! Job well done! 22 September, 2025.

Original 1 star rating: We so wanted to give this company a good review. They are veteran owned, and we are a veteran family. Called them on Monday 10/20/25, around 9 am, to discuss a water softener. They scheduled someone to come out on 10/22/25 between 2 and 4 to look at the situation and discuss options. Stayed home all afternoon waiting and they never showed up. No call or text. First impressions are everything and if we can’t get them to come out to give a quote, what’s it going to be like getting service after they already have the business? Super disappointing. Revised 4 star rating: Rain called the morning after we posted this review and said there was a mix up. They promptly sent out Matthew to do a quote. Not sure if we are going with them or not but they were courteous, owned up to the mistake and made it right.

The 5 star is only because the person who came out for the consultation was professional and seemed knowledgeable. Otherwise, you should be transparent about a $189 fee you charge when a customer is wanting a water softener quote. Other reputable companies serving the Boise metro area offer free estimates, except you.

Your plumber Matthew is why I still have faith in humanity. Because of him I was not stranded as a single mother in the middle of the road. He also was nice enough to take a look at my car that was broken down. This is after in am sure, a long day at work. Because of this interaction if I have plumbing needs I will be calling Veterans plumbing and asking specifically for Matthew. I would trust him to work on any of my household or commercial needs. I can’t thank you enough for your kindness and I can only hope it comes back to you 10 fold.

We had Veterans Plumbing do a complex job that included repiping the entire house, adding a hot water recirculation line (a great enhancement), replacing the old water heater with a tankless one, adding a water softener, and adding a Moen smart valve. We got 3 bids, and the difference between Veterans and the other two companies in that process was amazing. Scott (the owner of Veterans) spent well over an hour talking to us about our needs and going through the whole house carefully, including a good 15 or 20 minutes in the crawl space where a lot of the work would be done. The other two companies spent maybe 15 minutes each, barely stuck their heads in the crawl space, and were not nearly as engaged. Based on that experience we would have gone with Veterans even if their bid had been more than the others, but it was actually a bit less! The crew who did the job were equally impressive. Hasib (crew chief) clearly has a ton of knowledge and experience about every aspect of plumbing, and an extremely strong commitment to making sure things are done right. Broch, though much younger, is also very bright and dedicated, and you can see how well he and Hasib work together and how Hasib is preparing him to follow in his footsteps. Tristan and Brad provided competent additional support when some extra hands were needed. A project of this complexity is bound to have a few minor glitches, but the ones that did occur were all handled very promptly and with a professional, "customer first" approach. I would unhesitatingly recommend Veterans Plumbing to anyone.

My wife and I just moved to Star, ID, from Orange County, CA. We have a new home with a tankless water heater and wanted to augment it with a water softener system. We had a soft water system in CA and really liked it, believing that it was better for our skin and better for our plumbing. I solicited estimates from three companies. I was most impressed with John at Veteran's Plumbing and his presentation. He had a straightforward and no-pressure approach, just giving me the different options that he could provide me in terms of soft water and reverse osmosis. Ultimately, I chose the middle-of-the-road model water softener and opted to wait on the RO system for now. Ian came out as scheduled to install. He was nice and professional, and it didn't take him long to complete the job. John and I had discussed replacing some galvanized fittings for brass or stainless steel. Ian advised that I could wait on replacing these, as my house was new and not in urgent need. This saved me money, and earned more of my confidence in Veteran's Plumbing. I would not hesitate to use Veteran's Plumbing again for any future needs.

Had an absolutely outstanding experience with Veterans to add a half bath to our house. They replaced our hot water heater, and added plumbing for toilet/sink. Had to reschedule a few times due to our travel and work schedules, but Toven was able to work around our schedule, fit himself into the tiniest of spaces in our crawl space, and got everything done quickly and for exactly the same price as the quote - which was given 6 months prior. Highly recommend Veterans as well as Toven!
