VSG Power

In late March of 2024 I started to look into have solar panels installed and I spoke with several companies. Unfortunately it felt like all the other companies were stringing me along and in some cases I felt they were just trying to sell me on a bunch of stuff I didn't need and then found out that the other companies were mostly just sales organizations who all used the same company (out of NYC/Long Island) to actually install the panels. After several months of getting nowhere I had a friend recommend VSG Power so I reached out, especially as I prefer to do business with locally owned businesses when I can. I cannot say enough good things about the team at VSG. My experience with them was great from day one. I had done a lot of research and thought I had a good idea of what we needed but when Penn came out to look over the house/roof and discuss what we would need in a solar system his years of experience and knowledge was clear. We discussed various different configurations and options of panels, microinverters, power optimizers, battery backup, etc... Ultimately we agreed that for our location, the factors that could impact the system like shading, and most importantly our current and future needs we decided to go with the best value for our money and chose a solar system comprised of Silfab solar panels (they look great on our roof) and Tigo power optimizers. Even after the installation they have been amazing with answer and addressing any questions or concerns that we have had. My only regret is that I did not know about them sooner!!

Kyle is wonderful. He has been working on clean energy projects in our home for years from solar panels, to electrical panel upgrades, to electric car chargers. He is friendly, courteous, helpful and very knowledgeable. We are incredibly happy with all of the work he and VSG have done in our house. He has even taken the time to help me find reliable professionals to help with other issues and upgrades in my home. I'd recommend Kyle and VSG to anyone thinking about adding solar for your home, or needing help with an existing solar system!

This year, during the week of April 13th, 2025, VSG Power Inc. installed an additional ground-mounted 6.24 kW Silfab Bi-Facial solar array at my home. These guys truly know what they’re doing—their work is professionally hand-crafted and meticulous. For this installation: On Monday, April 14th, the equipment was delivered. On Tuesday, April 15th, they dug the trench to bury the electrical cable to the house and began building the ground mount. Despite a surprise snowfall in Buffalo, NY on Wednesday, April 16th, they pushed through and finished the job on Thursday, April 17th, around 4 pm. This included adding the panels to the ground mount and running the electrical cable to my 15k SolArk inverter. My electricity was only off for about 30 minutes for the final connection. We were all smiles when the system went live. With my original 6.7 kW solar array on the roof and this new addition, I’m now seeing double the power generation. I can confidently power my EV and home without worrying about rising electricity costs from NYSEG.

VSG did an excellent job keeping me in the loop with the process of removing the panels reinstalling the panels after the reroofing of the house. Reviewed different options with me when I inquired adding additional panels. Their quote for the new panels had a payback time frame that agreed with my calculation. They took extreme care to protect the new gutters and roof. They did a great job cleaning up after both removal and reinstall. Very professional with the process. Would use them again for any solar, electrical projects.

Thanks to Kyle and the crew of VSG Power for the outstanding install of our Briggs& Stratton stand by generator. Their workmanship and attention to detail was spot on. They were very thorough in answering any questions, as well as, explaining the operation of the unit. Very satisfied.

VSG Power is amazing. I hired them to do a complete wiring of a gutted home and I couldn't be happier with the result. They went above and beyond with their work quality and were very knowledgeable, answering all my questions about the job during bidding and construction. 10/10 would recommend!
