I would caution anyone to think twice before hiring Michael Avidor and NYTDR. In our initial meeting (9/29/2025), Michael showed up an hour late even though they called the day prior to ask if we could meet 30 minutes early. That alone made us question their professionalism and reliability. Even worse, their follow-up email got our situation completely wrong. Our home (a whole HOUSE) was damaged by a FIRE, but they constantly described it as a WATER DAMAGE claim for an APARTMENT. The email read like a generic template that no one bothered to review. When you’re dealing with something as serious as fire damage and an insurance claim, you need a team that listens, hopefully takes notes, and shows up prepared. Based on our experience, NYTDR didn’t give us that confidence — we chose not to move forward with them

When I was at my wit's end after a catastrophic flood from the apartment upstairs destroyed my studio, I found a wonderful team in Perry, Michael, and Rojda. Perry was my biggest champion against the insurance company to make sure the renovation job was done right, and Michael was the absolute prince of execution. Timelines were realistic, and actually finished ON SCHEDULE and ON BUDGET, which was an amazing feat in itself. Rojda kept me informed / looped in throughout the entire project, and I felt very assured that I was receiving top notch service, quality, and incredible value for what was paid. The NYTDR team was incredible for a recent floor installation throughout my entire apartment due to water damage. The team was very supportive, communicative, and helpful and they executed against the expected timeline, even over the holidays. The project included floor and sub-floor removal, mold remediation, sound-proofing, and new underlayment, floor, and baseboard installation. Our home had significant flood damage in July of last year. We decided to meet with three contractors who could help us assess the impact and advise on next steps regarding insurance. The first two told us the same thing. They explained that while the damage looked and felt significant, no insurance company would ever agree to pay enough to hit our very high deductible. They said that taking our job would be a waste of their time and ours. Because of this we were pessimistic when going into the conversation with the third contractor, Perry from NYTDR. But his attitude was different from the first two companies. After he assessed the damage, he told us he would help us get the coverage we deserved. He helped us negotiate with the insurance company until they rightly agreed to cover more than double our deductible, which paid for everything that we needed to do to get our home to shine like it did before the flood. We were thrilled! We began the work, and we were ready to close this otherwise traumatic chapter of our lives… but at the start of September we flooded again. And this time it was worse. Insurance refused to play ball, but Perry helped us work with them until we got what we deserved. It took a lot of patience as this process lasted a few months, but Perry never let us give up. In the end, we were able to settle with the insurance company at a price that covered all of what we needed. The work that NYTDR did was beautiful. Steve and his team paid attention to every single detail – the craftsmanship is remarkable. Our house feels like a home again and I know that it wouldn’t have happened without NYTDR. Throughout the process everyone at NYTDR was responsive and professional. They hit deadlines and sat through countless conference calls and adjuster meetings. They worked with us to solve any problem until we were satisfied.

Secondary to a malfunctioning air conditioner, the carpet in a 12X12 office space became very wet. Because of that, and the accompanying odor, the space became unusable. Fortunately, and given their appreciation of the urgency of this matter, NYTDR was able to expeditiously come to our location and assess the situation. I was prepared to accept what I anticipated would be their professional recommendation and be told that to rectify this situation would require a considerable amount of time and money. Not so! Quite to my very pleasant surprise, I was informed that in their professional opinion that would not be necessary – and that running a couple of box fans for a couple of days in addition to utilizing the space’s air conditioner should be sufficient. Subsequently bringing in an organization, such as Stanley Steamer, should be considered. They felt that the use of their own professional services would not be needed. Appreciating the time spent coming to the office and their ethical/professional input, I offered to give them a consultation fee. It was declined. I am very grateful for NYTDR’s assistance in this matter and would not hesitate a moment to call them should a similar situation develop in the future.

You need a repair, contact NYTDR immediately! Perry from NYTDR is a knowledgeable and reliable professional. Immediately after contacting him, he was able to work out a settlement with the insurance company. I got everything brand new at no cost out of pocket! Time is money! I used Perry’s construction company, NYKB, and they did an amazing job in a timely manner!
