Content Recovery Specialists (CRS)

CRS helped my mom after a major house fire to pack and clean a lot of content from her house. They were professional, thorough, and supportive to work with during a difficult time. The team of RJ, Alan, Steve and Shane helped deliver and unload many boxes once items were cleaned. They and the team at the warehouse were great to work with!

They responded to us immediately and got us on their schedule quickly. When they started, the crew was on time, professional and pleasant to deal with, kept us informed as needed, and answered all of our questions quickly. It's been a pleasure dealing with CRS. They made a tough situation easier to get through.

I can not say enough positive things about CRS. I recommend them to all of my insured when they have a loss. They are quick, organized, professional & reliable. The communication is outstanding, which is hard to find these days! I highly recommend Danielle & her crew if you need trustworthy people to take care of you in the worse of situations.

It's difficult to write an excellent review for a company without sounding like it is fake or contrived. I'm just going to share the thank you note that I gave to each of the employees who came to our house day in and day out for weeks: We wanted to thank you for taking charge and helping us out in one of our absolute worst times. Not only did you expertly manage the organized chaos of packing out our *entire* house, but you were also the utmost professionals, taking extreme care with our prized possessions, as well as super great folks to have around each day. We cannot possibly thank you enough. Please know that your help is extremely comforting in a time when people are at a loss of what to do, where to go, and how to move forward. Again, thank you immensely for your help! Bottom line: we highly recommend the CRS Pittsburgh crew!

I am writing this review because it is well deserved. If you have ever been in a crisis situation you know how difficult it can be at times to think clearly. Since day one they provided so much help and relief. The communication has been excellent. The team members are all very well mannered. I noticed how well they handled our home and belongings with care. They seem to pay attention to the details of running a good business the right way.

We had a house fire and I am so thankful for this company. Packing up our belongings and figuring out what was a total loss was not something we ever thought about. It was a blessing to have this team to do everything for us. They are very kind and professional and packed up and took photos of everything in our house, so that we knew what was lost and needed to be replaced or what was being cleaned. Everything was incredibly organized. They got the smoke smell out of our clothes and personal belongings and returned them like new. They were very responsive and it was great to work with such a wonderful group of people during a difficult time.

CRS did an absolutely fantastic job. A friend suffered a catastrophic apartment fire the same day they were diagnosed with COVID, so I wound up acting as their agent for a lot of the fire recovery process while they were sick. The difference between dealing with CRS versus the insurance company was night and day. CRS showed up the day after the fire, and had everything packed up and back at their facility in less than 48 hours. They had no problem dealing with me, even though I was not the insurance policy holder. They were prompt in responding to emails and texts, and were able to save far more of the damaged belongings than I expected. In contrast, the insurance company took several weeks (and daily calls from the policy holder) before they even sent someone out to look at the fire damage. They refused to talk with anyone other than the policy holder. They would not pay CRS directly, only reimburse the policy holder for the expense, and it took them more than 2 months to pay anything on the claim. Through the entire frustrating mess of dealing with insurance CRS was patient and cooperative.
