Best company to have by your side during a house fire—a truly devastating event. The team is knowledgeable, professional, and combines that with a personal touch, which makes a huge difference when navigating everything that comes with fire damage. I’ve recommended them to clients in the past and always received positive feedback. This time, I had to hire them myself after a fire at my own home, and I finally experienced firsthand what my clients had been talking about. Quick, professional, and compassionate are the best words to describe their team. Mark Kobrya was an incredible asset—his excellent communication skills kept the entire process smooth and easy to understand. Great job, Good Life Fire Restoration team!
Team work makes the dream work! Thank you Good Life Restoration for getting my house back up and running and putting me at ease. Peter Rooney who came out to see me as soon as I reached out. He paid attention to every detail of my wants and needs! Santiago for making the arrangements and taking the lead on the project, ensuring I received the best quality of materials for my budget. Huge shout out and a gratitude of thanks goes to Vadim, Paul and their crew for making things happen in a short deadline- Vadim for always communicating every step of the way and being available 24/7 to answer any questions or concerns I had. Being a female and a single mother, it’s not easy putting your trust and your home with people you barely know. My experience has taught me that I trusted the right company! Thank you for your kindness, respect and providing me with the best quality of work! Thank you all for making my dream happen ! Highly recommend:) Update 7/3/25- Surge of Good Life Restoration was outstanding in ordering and fixing and a leaky shower head I had installed a couple years ago. He went out of his way to ensure that i was taken care of and that my shower was fixed ! Thanks Surge and Good Life for providing amazing customer service and work!
This past 7 months has been a long haul with the fire at our home We have been in an airbnb and traveling back and forth to our home daily to take are of the daily essentials . However, I have to say without the support and kindness off Victor V and the comments crew making this process so much smoother I don’t know what my husband and I would have done. Victor had answered every call I made to him - Even on his days off . The kindness didn’t go unrecognized. Thank you so much Victor
If you only read the first few lines of this review, here’s all you need to know: if GoodLife comes up as an option for your construction or restoration project, stop searching and hire them. It will be the best decision you make. Memorial Day weekend 2025 was a disaster at our home. We returned from a morning out to find most of our downstairs flooded from a ruptured dishwasher drain line. The insurance company came the next day, ripped everything out, and left us with nothing. When their adjuster finally showed up, his estimate was less than one-third of the actual cost. I’m no contractor, but I knew this was going to be a fight—and that the insurance company would try to nickel-and-dime us instead of doing the right thing. Like anyone would, I turned to Google. After reading countless reviews, one name kept rising to the top: GoodLife Restoration. That’s how I met Mark Kobrya. From our very first conversation, I knew I was in good hands. He listened with genuine compassion, was upfront about the challenges ahead, and promised to fight for me as if it were his own mother’s home. He lived up to every word—working tirelessly until we had full approval to begin rebuilding. Once construction started, I was introduced to Tim Konoplich. Don’t let his age fool you—this guy has more construction management talent in one finger than I could hope for in a lifetime. Planning with him was effortless. He took our existing kitchen design and suggested small but brilliant changes that completely transformed the final result. We were so impressed that we even paid extra for additional projects beyond what insurance covered. As for the construction crews themselves—they were nothing short of remarkable. Every single person who came through our door was kind, respectful, motivated to get the job done right, and left the house cleaner each day than when they arrived. Our home is pure chaos with three teenage boys and an energetic lab puppy, but they worked seamlessly around it all. The project took four long months, but the final result exceeded every expectation we could have imagined. Simply put, our home is better than ever. I can say with absolute confidence: I will never call another contractor. GoodLife has earned not just a customer, but a raving fan for life.
It's been a great experience working with Good Life Restoration, it was a pleasure working with Victor all throughout the project. The contents crew has been great and very helpful throughout the process. I would highly recommend Good Life Restoration.
✅ Reply to owner: Thank you for your thoughtful and respectful response here on the Good Life Restoration page. I appreciate your willingness to listen and improve. However, I encourage others to also check out your reply on the Good Life Construction page, which is quite different in tone and content. It backtracks on many points you acknowledged here and claims no involvement in my project, which contradicts your earlier statements. This inconsistency is exactly why I felt uneasy during the process, and why I shared my experience — to help future clients be fully informed. I hope your team continues to reflect and work toward greater clarity and transparency moving forward. (REVIEW) Dishonest, Corner-Cutting, and Manipulative We initially hired this restoration company after they promised us permits would be pulled, discounts on materials, and that all selections would be made before any demolition started. They said the right things and presented themselves as professional — but their behavior quickly changed after we signed the bid. Once their contractor came out to assess the rebuild, their story shifted. Suddenly, they wanted to demo the home before we had chosen materials, before a rebuild plan was finalized, and without permits, despite the job involving over $20,000 worth of work in a condo with shared plumbing and walls — which absolutely requires proper permits. When questioned, they made excuses and claimed permits weren’t necessary for "small jobs." This was an obvious attempt to cut corners and avoid accountability. Even worse, they planned to send their rebuild crew in at the same time as the demo team, likely to avoid permit scrutiny and speed through the job without proper oversight. When we pushed back, they became evasive, rude, tried to mansplain and clearly just wanted to rush through the demolition, get paid, and leave us with the burden of delays, unapproved plans, and potentially unpermitted work — all while we’re still living in the home. They also admitted that we were one of their few cash clients — meaning they had no understanding or respect for a client paying out of pocket. They tried hard-sell tactics to get us to visit their showroom and commit to materials before we even had clear plans. It felt more like dealing with a used car salesman than a trusted restoration contractor. The company’s contractors license is valid, but I recommend verifying that the individual contractors they send are properly licensed and that their license numbers match, as I’ve seen cases in the industry where some companies have had issues with misrepresented licenses. My dad, a retired building code inspector with over 20 years of experience, has encountered situations like this before, so it’s something to be cautious about." They only have about 30 reviews — and I’d take those with a grain of salt. This is a real, unpaid, and honest review: be very careful before you hire this company, even if your insurance is covering the job. We canceled our contract before they could demo because the red flags were just too big to ignore.
We had a great experience with Good Life Restoration when we hired them to redo some drywall, paint and flooring after a flooding incident at our house. They were highly communicative and made the process very clear. They coordinated with our insurance company even though it was a pain. Vitaly was a great project manager, keeping me updated on the plan, the progress, and our options. He was committed to us having a good experience. Everyone was flexible and accommodating of our needs. Sergei and Vlad were very nice and respectful of our space, did great work, and always cleaned up after themselves. Everything from the drywall to the painting to the floors turned out beautifully and the payment process was easy. No complaints!
