SERVPRO of West Orange

I was extrememly pleased by the professionalism and business ethics of SERVPRO of West Orange. They did a mold inspection of several locations in our house. As this was a free inspection, I logically expected a proposal for mold remediation services. What I received was a detailed explanation of the most likely causes of the mold that we have, and recommendations for steps we could take on our own to eliminate the mold. To wrap up the inspection, the owner, Scott, informed that our problem was a cosmetic issue, not a health issue, and that we did not need their services. When I offered to pay for his time, he refused my offer. This is the kind of company we all want to find when we need outside help. I cannot recommend them enough.

Marty and Rudy from SERVPRO were absolutely amazing after we discovered our water leak! They responded incredibly fast, which was crucial in mitigating further damage. They clearly explained the process and gave us a fair estimate. When a dehumidifier malfunctioned the following day, they immediately swapped it out. Their professionalism and quick action truly saved our home from more extensive water damage. Highly recommend!

The team, comprising (including the office, Christina and Shannon), Jonathan for mitigation, Carrie for pack-out, Joe for estimation, Nalder A+ and Kyle for project management, and Juan as the contractor, performed exceptionally well. While I do not wish for unplanned renovations, if such circumstances arise, ServPro proved to be an exceptional team to manage throughout the project. Each and every employee I interacted with demonstrated kindness and above all respect. Communication was consistently timely and responsive, and every step was executed efficiently. Undoubtedly, ServPro is the most suitable company to lead your project.

Jonathan Castillo was nothing short of excellent. He was super thorough, patient with my inquiries and made sure any concerns were completely resolved prior to closing out his portion of the work before the next phase began. I couldn’t be happier with the management of my remediation with ServPro of West Orange. Apparently, updating to add Jonathan altered my original review which included my raves about Lenny, to which you originally replied, so I wanted to make sure I acknowledged his great work again as well. Servpro did an excellent job of restoring my home after a tree fell through roof during hurricane. This resulted in my moving out for three months and home completely emptied of contents while work completed. As I am 89, this was not easily accomplished. Project Manager Kyle Price went "over and above" easing my fears and assuring me that everything would be finished to my satisfaction. He provided me with a weekly progress report, even coming to where I was staying to give me updates and handling problems in the home unrelated to the damage (gas leak, water pipe leak in wall). He has made sure that I am resettled in my home.

Scott was absolutely fantastic to work with. He took the time to thoroughly inspect the house, and address all of my concerns. I would recommend Servepro to anyone experiencing moisture intrusion in their home.

Very professional, punctual and educational. After inspecting the affected area he educated me on the what’s causing the growth of mold and affordable remediation. He could have recommended an expensive and unnecessary job but instead he gave realistic and cost effective solution. He doesn’t make a mountain out of a mole hill and that’s the best quality to see from technicians. He came to help solve a problem and didn’t take the chance to over sell me on his service. He actually recommended we don’t use his service as what he specializes in is big mold growth usually from leaks in pipes causing mold to grow from behind the wall to the surface. Our problem was the steam couldn’t escape because the vent doesn’t reach the ceiling causing surface level mold to grow. Often times you see people taking advantage of people’s lack of knowledge and/or fear of their health. This man did not and for that I appreciate and respect his time and wisdom. Per his words the mold wasn’t enough to be a health concern or require to much invasion actions. Recommended ceiling vent as ours is around the same level as mirror light fixture and DIY mold test kit to check the quality of air coming from the vents. Didn’t even charge for coming out. Im not sure if that’s usual or maybe because it was such a quick inspection but either way a happy interaction. Thank you for your time and wisdom.
