I worked with Wellmade last year to build a shed for our backyard, and the process went really smoothly. Even though I am in SoCal and their team is based in the Bay Area, communication was great and they were always responsive! They helped with the initial planning and answered all my questions along the way, which made things straightforward. During the buildout, the crew kept me updated and made sure I understood what was happening at each step. The finished shed turned out great and has held up perfectly over the past year. Overall it was a solid experience and I would recommend them for a backyard office build.

I recently worked with Wellmade to build and install a shed in my backyard to use as an office, and the experience was exceptional and reassuring from start to finish. I even accepted their offer to drive down for a tour, which gave me a better comprehension of their building process, materials (Marvin windows, etc.) and attention to detail. Working with the project manager, we designed something that they’d never built before: a modified Richmond model with both a solid side entry door and a back window, in addition to the standard sliding doors. The final result exceeded expectations and added a lot of functionality. What made this project even more special is how they integrated the shed with my existing outdoor deck. The crew came up with smart, creative solutions to make everything feel like one cohesive structure using the same composite decking and adding a clean step-up entrance that looks fantastic. Because they had an opening in their schedule, my project went from design meetings to construction in about a month (they’re typically booked 2–3 months out). A fantastic three-person crew handled everything, from demo and foundation prep to final cleanup, in under a week. They were detail-oriented, confirmed every plug placement, and clearly enjoyed the work. The finished shed feels solid and quiet, with thoughtful touches like TP-Link smart lights that can be dimmed and controlled through the Kasa app. I highly recommend Wellmade - especially if you’re based in the Bay Area - to anyone looking for a modern, well-built prefab structure with a personal touch. I love how it looks in my yard!

We live in the East Bay Area and recently installed our Richmond shed, which we plan to use as an office space. It’s a sturdy, beautifully designed structure that adds both visual appeal and functionality to our backyard. We were especially impressed by the professionalism and hard-working spirit of the Wellmade installation crew.
