From The Ground Up Home Inspection

Kirk was great all the way in the inspection process. He helped explain findings and was willing to share suggestions on fixes. Highly recommend him to whoever is considering a home inspection

My home energy audit was done on Tuesday, January 28th, 2025, by Kirk Oren of From the Ground Up Home Inspections. The reason for the inspection was to pinpoint areas within the house which needed weatherization improvements. Also, I was suspicious of cool air emanating from the floor heating/cooling vents. Kirk was very thorough. He identified more than a couple of areas leaking cool air which surprised me (and I have already completed a few of them). In addition, he also gave directions on how to seal some of the leak areas. Kirk was very detailed oriented as noted by his final inspection report. Nothing was overlooked.

I had an energy audit done by Kirk and had a great experience. He was knowledgeable, thorough, friendly, and willing to answer any/all questions. He made recommendations not only from the lens of what would be most effective efficiency-wise, but also taking into account what made sense from a financial standpoint vs changes that would cost more upfront than they would save. I would recommend him to anyone looking to learn more about their home's energy consumption.

Kirk did an energy audit of our house. It was great. He very thoroughly examined the house and found a number of things we can do to improve its energy efficiency. It was clear he has a tremendous amount of knowledge about houses. He was also great to work with and explained things very clearly. If I ever need an energy audit or home inspection in the future, I would want him to do it.

I am so happy to have this great "home energy audit" experience with From the Ground Up Home Inspection. Kirk is so professional and detail. I've learned a lot from him of how to improve the house energy efficiency. We walked through every corner of the house, attic, crawl space, etc. to check air leak (with the help of infrared meter, fume maker) or anything can be done to make it better. This is a super valuable audit, which I strongly recommend Kirk and his services.

Kirk performed a home inspection and an energy audit. He was professional and very knowledgeable. What made this experience memorable for me was that Kirk knew the typical issues that would exist in a house that was build when mine was built. He was able to zero in on expected problems and potential fixes. I learned a lot from the experience and Kirk helped me prioritize my "home projects" to improve my home's energy efficiency.

You will end up saving thousands in repair costs and I feel that he helped me potentially avoid bid drops since I could take care of many things myself before the house was listed.
