This company is absolutely fantastic. Tim is a true expert and spent time explaining his thoughts and reasonings. I learned so much and really felt that he cares about his work and doing the right thing for people. The rest of the staff are kind, courteous and very communicative. One of the best contractors I've ever worked with honestly. When we had a small issue after the work was done, they didn't hesitate to make it right. 100% recommend.

We loved working with NW Seismic on retrofitting our SE Portland home. Tim really took the time to make sure the approach was right for us and is clearly incredibly knowledgeable, down to the intricacies of our particular area and soil. The work crew left the basement cleaner than they'd found it, and the project manager popped in from time to time to keep me posted on timing and how things were going. From the initial estimate to final billing, everything went really smoothly, and everyone we came into contact with is thoughtful, professional, easy to work with, and excellent at what they do. We used NW Seismic to install an egress window in our basement, as well as replace our four other basement windows, which were old, starting to rot, only single pane glass, and had to be taped up to keep cold air from coming in during the winter (not to mention toxic smoke this past September). Tim and his crew were upfront and communicative throughout the entire process. They did a really good job of explaining what to expect and how it would go. The onsite project manager was great in his communication. Kept me up to date. And the crew was fantastic, especially the crew lead, who was very thorough in setting up plastic to protect the space, and did an amazing job. They were also consistent about following COVID-19 prevention measures, which is a top consideration for me these days. We had to have old wood paneling removed, and the crew was able to replace it, which was not part of the original contract. They did a fantastic job, and I'm really happy with the result.

NW Seismic was professional and easy to work with from start to finish. We appreciated the thoroughness of Tim's inspection and explanation of the process. Scheduling was easy, and the crew who did the work were prompt and protected their working area well. I have referred them to friends already and would use them again if I had a reason to!

What a satisfying, educational, and confidence-building experience it was working with NW Seismic. The first clue that these were the professionals to work with was on their website where they said there was no one-size-fits-all retrofit. When Tim came to analyze the particularities of our 100-year-old house, he explained why the simple recipe that most contractors use is not the best practice. He then clearly described the procedures for our situation, as well as the reasons behind them. When it turned out that our installation crew would be unavoidably late, we got a courtesy call from the office. Patrick and Edwardo did a professional job and left the basement cleaner than when they came! I couldn't recommend NW Seismic any more highly.

I can't recommend these folks enough. I had 3 companies come out to estimate my home. They quoted more work than NW. When I asked NW about it they explained that there was quoted work by the others that I did not need. In the end NW saved me a lot of money. And they spent numerous phone calls to explain what needed doing and also what other issues there were in the crawl space that needed addressing. It's rare you find a company so honest and communicative. Also I did not have to pay a cent until the job was complete.

Had a terrific experience with NW Seismic. Really impressed by their team. After speaking with a different organization and not getting a great vibe, I reached out to NW Seismic. Tim was excellent throughout - great communication and able to guide the process through a couple of hiccups. I appreciated the technical understanding that allowed for something tailored to our site, not just a cookie-cutter approach. They were able to come up with a plan to secure our old house without spending an exorbitant amount of money. Definitely recommend!
