My review is from the point of view of a layperson, not an electrician: When first ordering through Platt, the experience was pleasant. The employee was friendly and apologetic when he made a mistake. I decided to order another part while there, and I was told that I could return the product if it didn't work out for my application. When attempting to return it, I was told that they don't do that for "special order" items, even though I was told, when ordering it, that it would not be a problem. When they finally agreed to accept the return I was treated poorly and then charged a $10 restock fee because the item I returned was "outdated junk" to them. Their management needs to learn to train their staff properly regarding their own policies and to inform their customers before the sale takes place. I left feeling like I was worthless to them. The manager who interacted with me fought me over a $10 restock fee rather than learn from their mistake. There is no signage nor information regarding restock fees, nor for "special order" items not being returned. I will never use this store again.

Not satisfied. I purchased some low volt test equipment here. I tried to return an open packaged test set for a multimeter. They would not return it. The counter man, who was very friendly but not knowkledgeable about anything, said they would not take it back because it was open. He said they have tear sheets that give specs of what it fits. It was the same as the back of the box, which says it fits Klein tools and various other brands. So they can find me doing business elsewhere. Also; they are suppose to have a lot of 12 volt wire connctors, which is not true. I basically waisted money and time here. Thanks Platt!

To be clear this is a professional store, with pro sparkies in mind. If you aren't a pro just know what you need to get and they'll have it or they'll find it. All in all great people, great place.
