I had a wonderful experience here! Everyone was kind and informative. Even though I came near closing time on a Friday, they accommodated me, showed me what was going on with my sewing machine, and gave me tips to use it better. I will be back for sure.

I use a vintage sewing machine, so when I needed a very specific part in the middle of a project with a looming deadline, I thought I was out of luck. Thinking it was a long shot, I called the Newport News location of Tidewater Sew-Vac to see if they could help me out. I spoke with Patty, who immediately understood what I was looking for and helped me find a great solution. She had me back in business and back to sewing in just a few minutes! Everyone I’ve spoken with there has always been incredibly knowledgeable and kind, but Patty really went above and beyond today to find what I needed. Highly recommend giving them a visit for any of your sewing or quilting needs!

Customer service wasn’t bad, they were fairly communicative with me and were consistently willing to work with me to make sure my warranty information was correct. However, I took 3 embroidery machines in to be fixed, one of which worked after we got it back; one of which worked for about 20 minutes before the needle fell out (because it wasn’t tightened) and knocked the timing out, decommissioning the machine; the most recent one was, assumably, put back together wrong so the moment I turned it on the needle bar case got stuck in an incredibly offset position and caused a massive grinding noise(see the attached video). Helpfully, the BabyLock manual said the ‘fix’ for that particular error code was to press "Okay" which then caused the machine to do the exact same thing, in perpetuity. We ended up taking that last machine to a different Tidewater location to be fixed again.

The store and repairs are so wonderful! Dealing with Brian and Patti is great! They are both friendly and very knowledgable . I reccomend this store to everyone!

The customer service here is terrible! I turned in a machine to get fixed and constantly got the run around! In the end, the manager lied and said I told him not to fix the machine because it wasnt under warranty! I never said that! At all! I dont care if it wasnt under warranty! I can pay to have it fixed! He never fixed it! Then when I complained the lady said she would give me one but it wouldnt have my serial number because it was some one elses machine, I will never utilize tidewater sew vac! They know what they did! They had my phone number and could have called me to tell me they were going to throw it away! It is terrible how people are these days! I hope they go out of business! I hope they get the same treatment somewhere down the line!

I bought in my Shark cordless vacuum. They were very personable. They unclogged the beater bar for me on the spot and put down deodorizing pellets to help deodorized it.
