*BEWARE* Do not use this service. They sent in a pro who put holes in and scratched the custom cabinets in my kitchen. He failed to complete any portion of the job correctly, and charged me for a part I didn't need. Company still will not provide me a copy of the terms & conditions I signed when requesting the service. They told me to "file a police report" as the solution. Zero follow up from the company (not the pro, who is equally as bad). Rude customer service when trying to get the issue resolved. Sent in videos and pictures as evidence, even more frustrated by the lack of follow up from the company to help us find a solution. Would not recommend or trust a pro recommended by this company to a friend or an enemy. DO NO PAY PRO"S DIRECTLY.

DO NOT use this service! They can completely ruin your appliance. They took $292 to fix start relay of my whirlpool refrigerator on Nov 2021. Instead of putting original parts they did a temporary fixing which was of very poor quality. Just after 7 weeks of their fixing, my compressor died and I can't use the refrigerator anymore. Later, I showed what they did to 2 other mechanics from different companies and both agreed that what they did was simply "trash" work. They used a very cheap part which I found available online for $16 and charged me $292 in total. If you have any other option then go for that. DO NOT hire them for servicing, they may destroy your appliance. Not to mention, they also appeared later than their promised time!

The worst experience that I have ever had was with American Homeshield.  I had an unfortunate water leak spring from underneath my kitchen sink and water was flowing everywhere.  I called AHS to report the situation and to get immediate assistance as the leak was uncontrollable.  I went outside to turn the water off, but the main valve was stuck wouldn't turn off.  So for the next 10 min I attempted to turn the water off while on the phone with a I spoke with a girl name C Terrago and she was horrible.  She wouldn't listen and kept cutting me off and refused to attempt to expedite my request to get a plumber out to my home.  I was finally able to get the water turned off, but still couldn't get anyone out to my home, because the girl wouldn't attempt to provide assistance.  After, 20 min on the phone arguing with her, I disconnected and proceeded to call the plumber myself.  I'm glad I did, because they were so helpful and were able to come out to my home within 30 min of the call and was able to fix the leak right there on the spot.  The sad part is the plumber is the same plumber that AHS has sent to my home before.  After all said and done when trying to report the horrible customer service to I spoke to a guy named Kwasi.  He was helpful in terms of providing information, but didn't have the power to do anything about it.  I then escalated my concern again to supposedly the Supervisor of the Escalation Team.  Her name was Kiva and she was worse than the first little girl I spoke to. I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND that you do not use AHS, as they have shady business practices and do not care to really help in a bad situation.  I ended up paying out of pocket for the repair and the damage to my home.  They would not even discuss reimbursement for the repair, as that was the original reason I called and their rep refused to assist. Nevertheless, I am only one person, so I wanted to share my story in hopes that it will save and prevent someone else from doing business with these people.  Spend your money with a reputable company. Sincerely, R.G. Walker --

I will give 0 star if i can. I had an appointment with American Home Shield ProConnect for Dryer Vent Cleaning. On that day, the serice guy did not show up during service window. About 2 hours after, he messaged me saying he had a conflict and was able to come fianlly. During the service, he recommended to move the dryer and washing machine to allow dryer connect direct to the vent outlet. I followed the "pro" recommendation. After he left, I found the duct was not connected back to the dryer properly. And since he moved the washing machine, the washing machine will now shake like crazy when in use. I called to flie a complaint and ask for a refund with the so called Pro Connect and the custoemr service told me they do not have an invoice for this service. I guess who ever come up with this "great idea" of ProConnect wanted to do business like Uber but without the ability to track and invoice all the service. No guarteen for the service level. No control on the service hour. Be aware of your money, because the so called pro connect will send some random guy who will not be able to do the job, and the ProConnect will not be able to provide customer service afterwards. By the way, the customer service told me they are not really American Home Shield. So why do you think I would request service from your so called "Pro" Connect if you are not related to the AHS.

We had this company handling repairs for years with no problem but then when we needed to have an appliance repaired the dishwasher and clothes washer went out at same time they showed their true colors. No one got back when we put in the service request. I called and the person said they couldn't find a company to service us? I called around and each person I talked to said to my surprise "we refuse to deal with that company" really? So that is the reason why they left us hanging? Meantime I'm waiting and going to the laundry mat and can't use the dishwasher. So, I called to cancel and oh man what a hassel it was like wrestling or sword fighting to see who would win! I had to keep saying "no cancel my account" over and over while they switched me to others trying to wear me down. Never again. After all those years when we needed them only to find they couldn't. I don't like to leave such a negative review but hope this helps others and saves them a bad experience.

Worst service ever. The guy who came in was nervous and clueless. He ruined my hardwood floor, made huge dents. Ruined my custom kitchen cabinetry and was still not able to fix the dishwasher. He did not know how to put my dishwasher back in, kinked the tubing and made holes in cabinetry by putting screws in wrong position. All the damage done ended up costing more. Could have bought new dishwasher in that price. Company did not even respond to my email and have filed complaint. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

I contacted ProConnect because the gas in my rental home had been shut down due to a poor connection to the stove. I got a technician the same day to come in and fix the connection. While he was there, he told me, the ignitor on my stove should be replaced. I authorized the repair. My tenant called me hours later and told me that she had turned on the oven, and the smell of gas was overwhelming. I contacted the contractor who then told me over the call that he was pretty sure that my tenant was being "overly sensitive" and that it was probably because of "some medication she was taking". I was fairly appalled that he would make this presumption. I asked him to come again, which he did the next morning. I decided to go as well, since he was trying to pin the problem on my tenant's over-sensitivity. Sure enough, the moment the stove went on, there was a smell of gas that was so bad that we had to open windows. He tried to tell both of us that we were imagining it and that it "smelled like something burning" (there was no smoke and the oven was immaculately clean). He then ascribed the problem to the oven being old and past its replacement time. I told him that this would have been very helpful information to have before he did the repair. He offered to try to get a refund but told me that he was an independent contractor and that he would have to eat the cost. I generally don't like screwing over people who work hard for their money, so I told him not to bother. I feel like a service that was not ordered, was ill-advised, and ultimately turned out to be a waste was foisted on me and then the contractor tried to deny the problem (despite the reality that it could have made my tenant very ill or even killed her). Tips for training your contractors: (1) if you make a mistake, cop to it (2) don't sell me a repair for an appliance that you know is on its last legs without telling me that first. It's dishonest. (3) Don't try to mansplain away my tenant's very legitimate concerns by pretending that she's the problem (4) don't try to pretend that ovens are supposed to leak enough gas to give me a migraine.
