Lewis did an outstanding job locating a pinhole sized leak in my main water supply feeding the house. Lewis was very professional and located the leak without wasting any time. Top notch job and money well spent, they located the pinhole sized leak and put me right on the spot needing repaired. Great job Lewis

We had a great experience with Lew! He was very courteous and professional, even with my young daughter watching and following him around the whole time. It is not always comfortable having a stranger in your home, but Lew did not make it feel that way. Great staff and great interactions overall.

UPDATE: This is a response to the owners comments from our review. My wife did not leave the review, I did and I stand by it. The owner in his response asked what we had to gain by leaving the review and the answer is simple, nothing! The review is meant to provide a testimonial of our experience with American Leak Detection. We had a very bad experience, yours might be better or worse if you hire them. They filtered out the review that we submitted to their website so they will only have positive reviews so I felt compelled to leave a review on google where they can’t manipulate what is submitted. Finally, I will not waste my time addressing all the lies in the owners response, my review is fair and accurate. We followed every recommendation from them trusting they are experts and we spent a lot of money to have a hot tub that still leaks. I would look elsewhere when hiring someone for your pool/hot tub leak detection needs. DO NOT HIRE, YOU WILL WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! American Leak Detection made 4 inspection visits to our property for our in-ground pool and spa and we are now out thousands of dollars and still left with an unknown leak. We had to pay for every sight site visit starting in the summer and continuing all the way until December. The tech said the leak was in the plumbing and was not in the structure. On their last visit they supposedly detected a leak in our plumbing that was unfortunately under our stone staircase and landscaping and the area had to be dug up to repair. Their recommended repair company excavated the area identified by American Leak Detection and found nothing, the plumbing was intact and leak free. We of course had to still pay the repair company because they did their job and they did it well by both showing us that there was not a leak in the area and explaining their findings. Now we were back at square one after having spent around $4k for the multiple visits and excavation of the repair area that was not needed. At this point American Leak detection said they wanted to wait until spring due to the cold weather which was understandable. However, when we contacted them this spring we were told it was past the 30 day revisit period and we would have to pay another $500 service fee. Considering how many times we have already paid them for zero results and the fact that it was their decision to make us wait until spring we felt we should not have to pay for another visit. We contacted American Leak Detection and asked to speak to the owner about the situation. The owner Matt first took about two weeks to return our call and then refused to come back out without charging another service fee. Matt was very short on the phone, unprofessional and refused to come up with a solution. We are incredibly disappointed with the negligent work that was done and even more disappointed with how we were treated by the owner. Do not waste your money like we did, DO NOT HIRE American Leak Detection!

Was alerted by a water main leak when I received a HUGE water bill. Have about 300 feet of water line from the public street to my house and it showed no signs of leak at surface. Called American Leak Detection and they ran Helium through the water line and were able to detect the leak within 3 ft of the problem. The helium bubbles through the water line amplifying the leak. Turns out the leak was under our concrete driveway. I was able to slice into my driveway with a concrete saw and only remove a small portion. Thanks American Leak Detection, you saved the day.

If I could give them more than 5 stars I definitely would!!! I was told by City of Caldwell that my water bill doubled because I had a water leak. Debbie and Lew were BEYOND AMAZING!! When I scheduled my appointment with Debbie, she was so friendly and assured me that my house would not flood before my appointment. Lew called me when he left Boise to let me know he was on his way. He detected the leak and assured me that I would be fine until I could get it fixed! I obviously don't want another leak but I would definitely call them again and will highly recommend them to anyone needing this service!! The customer service this company provides is awesome!

Our basement flooded recently due to a break or leak in our water main coming from the street. Time was of the essence to determine where the leak occurred since insurance coverage as well as getting on the books with a repair company were both depending on it. At the recommendation of Mr. Rooter's field representative, Sebastian, I called Debbie at American Leak Detection. As frustrated and concerned as I was, Debbie was wonderful to deal with over the phone, and once she heard our family circumstances (family of five with no running water, summer heat starting to hit, and no way to run our water-fed AC/heat pump system), she found a way to get her crew out here the next day for testing. I received a courtesy call in advance of Matt and Jim's arrival, and by the time I got home from my office, they had arrived, completed their testing, and identified where the water line was leaking. Both gentlemen were very friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to talk to. After their visit, I called Debbie at the office again to thank her, to give Matt and Jim some kudos, and to see how we can expedite getting on the schedule with Mr. Rooter. Debbie was once again awesome, she assured me that she will coordinate with Mr. Rooter first thing in the morning, and she told me that we are at the top of the list under these circumstances and going into a holiday weekend. Providing a service for a fee is something everyone in the game should be doing, BETTER be doing, or they won't be in the game for long. But taking a genuine interest in their customers' circumstances, going out of their way to find fast solutions, and even just putting a fun, friendly touch on things are what separate great companies from the rest. I am very impressed with American Leak Detection, and I would absolutely recommend them if and when you run into trouble. Thanks, ALD!
