I highly recommend Daniel as an appliance technician. He is knowledgeable, professional, and efficient. He quickly diagnosed the issue with our dryer and had it fixed in no time. Daniel clearly takes pride in his work — he explained everything in a way that was easy to understand. It's hard to find someone so reliable and honest these days, but Daniel truly stands out. Great service all around!
A few months ago, I contacted this company to repair my dryer (which wouldn’t start) and my washer, which had a small leak every few loads. They dispatched a technician named Ray. Ray diagnosed the dryer first and quoted me $300 for the repair — a bit pricey, but I agreed. He then looked at the washer and found a tear in the rubber door seal. Clothes had gotten stuck in the tear, likely explaining the intermittent leak. He quoted $173 for the part, but then gave me a total price of over $800. I asked for a breakdown since $300 (dryer) + $173 (part) should’ve been around $473 — especially since he said the service fee was already included. When I questioned the pricing, Ray asked me how much I was willing to pay. I told him no more than $600. He agreed. I paid $600, he ordered the washer part, and came back a week later to install it. After the seal was installed, the washer suddenly began shorting out and wouldn’t stay on — a problem it did not have before Ray worked on it. I told him I wasn’t paying anything additional since this issue only started after his repair. He insisted it might be another part that needed replacing. He returned a week later, installed a "new" part, and the washer still didn’t work. At this point, I decided to call the office to file a complaint — both about the new issue with the washer and to request a different technician. Before calling, I checked the washer and was shocked to find that Ray had reinstalled the original, damaged door seal — the one I had already paid for him to replace. When I spoke with Emily in the office, she told me they would issue a $300 refund. That’s appreciated — but what about the extra damage done to my washer? And the fact that the broken part was put back on the machine? I asked to speak with a manager — but no one ever called me back. Bottom line: DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. There is zero accountability, and the technician I dealt with, Ray, clearly lacks integrity. He caused more damage than he fixed and then tried to cover it up. Extremely disappointed.
The washing machine repair was completed with amazing efficiency, professional service from Daniel and the quality of work from Best Fix Appliance Repair impressed us.
⚠️ BEWARE – SAFETY CONCERN ⚠️ I previously posted a review about a very negative experience with this company. A technician not only caused additional damage to my washer but also reinstalled a defective part that I had already paid to have replaced. (They did refund the charge, however I never asked to have that part refunded) Since leaving that review, the same technician has been calling and texting me, claiming he’s been fired. This man now has my name, phone number, and home address — and I find his direct contact completely inappropriate and unsettling. I never gave him permission to contact me outside of the service calls. Out of concern for my safety, I called the company AGAIN, expecting accountability and a professional response. I spoke with Emily, who shockingly defended his behavior instead of acknowledging how inappropriate and alarming it is for a technician to reach out to a customer like this after a dispute. This response is unacceptable. I no longer feel safe and will be contacting the Better Business Bureau and potentially local law enforcement to document this situation and protect myself. I strongly urge others to avoid this company. There is zero accountability, and customer safety is clearly not a priority. Proceed with caution.
Paul was very professional. He was able to diagnose my issue with my dryer, order the part, and repair it the following day. I highly recommend this company.
Big takeaways... Called to repair my microwave. $85 service fee. 3-hour window to show up (9a-12p). Didn't show up (12p). Called again, states arrival in 20 min. Another hour passes (1p). Called again. "Be there in 2 min." On the last call, I made it pretty clear I was NOT going to pay for a service that costs me money/time. Cancel my appointment and I'd allow someone else to fix the problem. I would not pay for a service fee. That was fine... Emily (via phone) seemed understanding. Even offered a discount on the repair. Just allow the tech to continue to the scheduled appointment. 2 min out. Cool. I've wasted this much time so far. Tech shows up. Tech: "There's traffic." Me: In San Antonio? No way. Tech diagnoses the problem. Cool, I'll get it fixed. Me: Since you're here, do you want to quote me for the dishwasher (also broken)? I explicitly said if it required an additional service fee, I'd reach out to another service who could either be prompt or communicate their tardiness. I would not pay a service fee. Tech: No problem. No fee required. Appliance also diagnosed. Dishwasher diagnosis: $400+ repair. Dishwasher is circa 2010. New dishwasher is $600, so it's a no brainer-- just get a new dishwasher at this point. Now time to pay up for the microwave repair. Almost $400 ($373, I think?) Card, Cash, Venmo, ect... Tech quote: 2 service fees, plus fix. Me: No, absolutely not. Tech says he is charged either way from the company. I never saw a quote for the $373 (included part and labor) for the microwave or the "discount" Emily spoke of. It was inflated with no explanation. Listen, this was scheduled fast. Cool. But then they didn't show up while I just waited with stuff to do and places to go. Then when mentioning the discount for repair that Emily had discussed, crickets. He couldn't do it. At this point, he agrees to take away the dishwasher service fee. The microwave is still at full price. Honestly, I'm going to give my money to a company that honors their word, shows up when the appointment is scheduled, and can clearly communicate with their customer. Most of all, I think it's important to respect our time too. That wasn't done here. It cost me more time... and I'm willing to invest more time with a company that respects my time, rather than just fork up the cost because this is easier. I can't speak to the repairs. But I feel a significant lack of respect for the customer today.
Best Fix Appliance Repair solved my cooktop problems efficiently and the same day service quality impressed me
