Guy just checked voltage to the unit …which was ok and then said it was bad. I told them that’s exactly what I did …they could have told me over the phone…waste of time and money. Any ten year old with a brain can check voltage. Who knows how much training this guy had…easy hundred bucks
Our technician Neil is awesome! He is knowledgeable, friendly and very respectful. He has great customer service skills. The techs are great but scheduling service through the company is awful! Get rid of the AI crap and let me speak to a real human-being!
Frank did a great job of repairing the washer. He ordered the pump and two weeks later did the replacement. Only issue for me was the price, which was $650 for the install and replacement pump. For $150 more I could have replaced this 22 year old washer.
Sear’s technician did not show up. He called 30 minutes after the established show up timeframe which was 8 am to 5pm. (Yes, we waited all day and called Sears a few times in an attempt to confirm that someone would still be coming). The number provided by Sears do not allow you to talk to a live person. It’s strictly informational and inaccurate. No one came during the hours stated and I never received a text confirming the information given by Sear’s messaging recording/AI. In talking to the technician at 5:30 pm, he asked me did I still need him to come. When I responded yes, he informed me that it would take him another hour to get here and still may not be able to fix the problem because he might not have the part needed and since the supply store will be closed, he’ll have to come back some other day. So, I cancelled the appointment and called the warranty company, who reassigned my claim to Mr. Chill in Bastrop. Mr. Chill came out 30 minutes later and diagnosed the problem in less than 10 minutes. I was very disappointed and frustrated with Sears’ communication methods, its inability to provide accurate information, its customer service, and their technician’s attitude. Clearly, he did not want to come, thus exhibiting an attitude that made me not want him to come which lead me to cancel the appointment altogether. I will never use this service from Sears in the future. LadyV Cedar Creek, TX
Tech acknowledges that there is a problem, probably with the pump, causing the loud grinding noise we hear. But says they have been instructed to do nothing, as long as the machine still works. No parts being ordered. Wait till it breaks completely than call, order parts and wait. Could go weeks without a washer. What a business model. 5 year service warranty with Sears.
Mohammed was on time for appointment. He was very informative and explained the AC issues on how to proceed.
If I caould give zero stars I would. Frank, the technician, was nice enough, but I was quoted $754.60 to replace the drain pump. I can buy a brand new washer for that price. The part alone was quoted as $306.50, which I subsequently bought on amazon for $37.99. The labor was quoted at $398.10 and Frank the technician said it would take him about 45 minutes to replace the part, so essentially $400/hr for labor. I asked how long it would take for the part to arrive and the repair to be finished and Frank said probably 2 weeks. I said I could order the part from amazon and have it in two days and he could come back and install it and he said no, he can only install parts that are ordered through them. I will do the repair myself and save over $700 and rest assured I will NEVER use Sears Appliance Repair again.
