Mike came out to fix my dryer and tried to scam me for $185 cleaning fee. He refused to repair the dryer claiming it was a fire hazard and stated that the dryer vent was clogged so unless he got the money he wouldn’t fix the machine. This contractor was provided to me thru a home warranty service request. This company is a total scam. The statement that my dryer vent was clogged was completely false because I then called a cleaning service to come out days later and NO CLOG at all. This company is a rip off. I don't even want to give them a one star. They came out to service my dryer under a warranty which I paid prior to their arrival $125. The technician Mike (who I believe is related to the owner but not sure) told me The insurance company doesn't cover the cleaning. To clean the inside of my dryer will cost me $120 . He would only accept cash.. In order to get to this he had to take the front of the machine off and the drum out. There's nothing on his report regarding this nor was any money turned in at the office that day. This was just a scam on me that unfortunately I was in no mood so I just paid it. My fault but I couldn't verify with the insurance company because everything's automated and it just goes to show that you can't trust anyone. Beware of this company especially if they want cash. FYI I will be coming to your home office looking for you!!

Mike, the technician came to my house to install the microwave. As soon as he arrived his demeanor was so rude towards my mom and very demanding to help him finish his job even though he knew that my mom was carrying my 12-month-old baby. If we know that he would be this way, we could just find someone else to do better than him.

This company was sent to me by my warranty company (American Home Shield). The technician that came out never introduced himself and was very rude the entire time he was in my house. He inspected my broken dryer, told me he reset the thermostat, and then told the warranty company he was going to replace it. He inspected my broken microwave door panel. He told the warranty company the panel was broken from excessive wear and tear. The plastic door panel damage occurred when the screw holding the handle came out and broke the plastic panel. He inspected my two-door refrigerator. The plastic guide for the second door broke and the spring pop out. This only happened about two months ago and he told the warranty company that the plastic guide was broken from excessive wear and tear. I found it funny that the technician never discussed these issue with me in any detail and made some very broad conclusions regarding what actually happened to the appliances.

I was worried when my home warranty company sent them because of comments on here. But so far they are good. They came when they said they would. They were courteous on the phone and in person. They said 3-5 business days to order parts. I will update after the repair is done. UPDATE: they scheduled my follow-up appointment when my parts came in exactly 3 business days and they said three to five business days, they were courteous on the phone, courteous in person and the repair was fast and professional.

worst appliance service place I have ever seen. I set up an appointment with them to look at my dryer through my home warranty company. The guy came out and inspected the dryer told me that he would need to order a part and confirm with my home warranty company about the coverage of the part. My home warranty company approved the repair and told me that they would get in touch with united appliance to schedule a repair time with me. It has been 2wk since then and I have not heard from the appliance company. Every time i call no one answers and they never call me back. Don't use them ever. Their 1.8 star rating is too high.

The repair guy, Mike, "fixed the code" on our washer when the assignment was to "fix the washer because the front door unlocked and flooded our home 5 times within 48 hours." He left, the washer flooded our home again, I called him and he wanted to argue with me that he "fixed the code" so it’s pretty much no longer his problem. He was condescending and incompetent! I would give him a minus 100 if I could! If you don’t want to do the work, close your business. Sent to us by American Home Shield.
