I found this service very unresponsive and unprofessional. As a local resident, I phoned to make an appointment for a Bosch dishwasher repair. I had to wait a week for an appointment and then the morning of the appointment, I received a call informing me that they had to cancel because the repairman had a runny nose. When I asked about re-scheduling, I was told I would have to wait almost another week. When I expressed some distress because I was expecting company and was anxious for the repair, the Veitch rep was very cavalier, basically conveying that he had no sympathy for my need. I felt he should have made more of an effort to re-schedule within a day or two of the cancellation, in view of my having already waited a week for an appointment and the fact that I was expecting company. I know that on a scale of 1-10, a dishwasher problem doesn’t constitute a real emergency, but I didn’t expect the process to be aggravating and annoying.
The Veitch technicians performed an extensive repair to my Sub-Zero refrigerator that had been damaged in shipping. They let me know when they were coming, showed up on time, and were extremely careful around my new kitchen cabinets and appliances. The repair was done in a very professional manner. (A good ending to a difficult issue.) I would highly recommend this company.
Have used Veitch many times to repair appliances. Very professional and honest. If it isn't worth fixing they will tell you it's time for a new appliance instead of making a repair that isn't going last.
Came to help fix my dryer which had no heat. Doug was very helpful and we got part ordered and dryer fixed. It was pretty expensive but guess less than a new dryer. The company doesn’t have any answering machine so took a long time to be able to talk to someone about changing an appointment. That part is very antiquated.
Beware! I called to request a service call on my washing machine which was stuck in the wash cycle. When the technician arrived he diagnosed it as a broken water drain pump and that it needed to be replaced he was only here for 10mn if that. This cost 150 dollars. I was then told the part was 94 dollars plus labor. I said I’d take everything apart to avoid as much of the labor cost as possible. To my dismay it was only a small finish nail blocking the pump from spinning. I asked how the tech came up with the diagnosis and if he even looked at the pump. Seemed like maybe he googled it since that’s one of the top results. So I paid 150 dollars on something that could have been fixed that day and was gonna pay for a part and labor that wasn’t needed. I did get a sorry and we won’t send out the tech for the repair. How many customers have just trusted the diagnosis and paid for needless services.
The control panel on my stove would not work at all, a blank screen. Units worked. So, I called Veitch to get an idea of what it would be to replace the panel as I had started pricing a new stove and wanted to see if it was cost effective to have a service call. Bob at Veitch said "did you turn your circuit breaker off and back on".. Nope. He said try that, if it doesn't work call back. It Worked!!!! Fantastic!! For once, someone that was truly helpful, not trying to make a buck by sending out the repair man. I will definitely use them if I have any appliance problems and will tell everyone this story.
This is the kind of business you don't want to get caught up with. Asked for a washer to be looked at and paid the service fee to be told that there was nothing wrong with it. When the washer continued to not work, called again. This time was told that "parts" needed to be purchased. Then was told that the problem couldn't be deciphered, and the repair could be $200 or $500 for something they claimed was in no need of repair a few days prior. Wish we had gone somewhere else and not gotten cheated out of the service price for nothing and a still broken washer. If you don't want to waste money on lies and incompetence, I'd suggest a different business.
