I'm not sure if ownership has changed but this business was always reliable in the past for my parents. However, we recently contacted them to come and repair our washer and scheduled them to come out but they never showed up. We called and they apologized and scheduled us for the following day between 12 to 2pm, 1pm came along then 2pm came long but no call or no show. We had to reach out and get their estimated time of arrival they apologized once again and said that they were running late ( a courtesy call would been nice). They finally made it out around 3:30pm provided us a quote to repair it but advised us that it would be in our best interest to replace it due to the high price of the repair it and that they had a used one if we were interested in buying one for $250. We turned down their offer and then they tried to overcharge us for their fee to come out. Initially they quoted us $69.00 dollars to come out but tried to collect $99.00 instead. We paid them what they originally quoted us and told them to take a hike. They are very unprofessional and we definitely will not use them again. If I could give them less than one star I would. Do yourself a favor and please we urge you to refrain from using this company.

I'm a repeat customer! Timely , friendly, flexible customer service! I called in a bit of distress but received same-day maintenance on my washing machine. The technician was professional and personable. I'll definitely keep Hester's in mind for any future appliance repair needs. Thank you!

Be very careful if you purchase from these guys. If you are buying a major appliance (we bought a washing machine), you may end up losing money and having to buy another one anyway. I suggest you thoroughly examine what you are purchasing and, if it's a washing machine, run it through a cycle once BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. They sent us a picture of the machine before bringing it over and I noticed what looked like mildew. When we asked them what the dark spot was, they said it was dirt and that they would clean it. They brought it over, they were very friendly, very professional, they hooked it up, and hauled our broken machine, but I should have checked the one they delivered more thoroughly before I paid them; I really regret not doing so. Now we have a washing machine full of mildew stains, it smells awful, and after running it through one empty cycle we found specks of mildew that came up from inside the machine. We're now, of course, having trouble getting a hold of them to get our money back despite the fact that they very adamantly told us to call them with any problems and that it comes with a 90-day warranty.

BEWARE of this company! The scams they are doing with washing machines is a crime and they are preying on seniors. My sister purchased a used washing machine from them, it was delivered and installed and stopped working within days. They came out to "fix it" and again within days it stopped working. My sister called multiple times over several weeks before they then just showed up at her door unannounced to repair the machine a third time. They said it’s a part for the timer and will have it in a couple of days. I called the store to follow up spoke to Gene Jr. the owners son and he was one of the rudest people I have dealt with in many years. He actually hung up on me! DON’T work with this company!!! I would give them a ZERO if I could!

Awful experience with this company. Needed a new heater, brought it in and installed it leaving marks all over the walls, an employee complaining about the job saying he wanted to smoke weed after work, grown men arguing in front of the customer, overall VERY unprofessional. Turns out, the heater is not functioning properly. It makes terrible noises heating up/cooling down. We all know heaters make noises, they even admitted the noise was not ok especially at 2AM when my baby is sleeping. Long story short, they came back 5x "checking it out," even a no show 2x. The owner had nothing to say; no help whatsoever. After several weeks there has been no resolution. If you want non functioning appliances go ahead.. waste your time and money.

This shop used to have a good reputation. Used to be you could count on them to set an appointment and be there but alas, those days are gone. The owner, who is over 80 seems to be getting forgetful and out of touch and his sons and other employees all have an "I don't know anything I just work here" attitude. You can never reach gene senior, he's out on calls all day, there is no shop manager, everyone just answers the phone randomly and no one EVER calls you back. I have no idea what happens to those call sheets because all my calls just go into some dark hole. I think emergency calls get all the attention and everything else is disregarded. I brought a working stove in to be serviced and it took a month for them to get to it and every time I called I got the runaround. Plus one of the guys who works there is RUDE, seems to resent customers, and will flat out lie to your face to get you off the phone or out of the store. It's too bad that after decades of hard work to build a thriving, dependable business, it has come to this.

I don’t recommend calling them to have your washing machine fixed. They replaced the belts, then the motor, which I had to pay for and didn’t fix the problem. They gave up after that and never came to fix the problem. I ordered a timer myself which fixed the problem. They kept saying they would come to fix the problem and never did for about 2 months.
