A to Z in home appliance repair

I called Farhan on a Saturday about an issue with my dryer, and he made the trip out first thing Monday. He was professional, honest, and punctual from start to finish. You can tell he really knows his stuff! He diagnosed the problem quickly and got everything fixed right on the spot. My dryer is now heating properly and working better than ever. I couldn’t recommend him enough. If you need reliable appliance repair, Farhan is your guy!

Our garage freezer stopped working (right after a major grocery store stock up, as is always the case!) I called in the afternoon, but since this was an emergency, Farhad came in the late evening and fixed the issue (fan motor) quickly and had us chilling (ha) in no time. Side note- we have a brand of freezer that three other places said they don't work on so kudos to A to Z for that part too! Total cost was 220$ A bargain considering what we had in the freezer. Will definitely use Farhad again.

My Samsung fridge was freezing everything, and after calling a bunch of local repair guys, everyone said they don’t work on Samsungs. One even quoted me a minimum of $500—without even seeing it! I found Farhad’s company on Google/Yelp and decided to give him a shot. He called me back super quick, had awesome customer service, and came out the next day. He figured out what was wrong, ordered the part, and came back to fix it. Farhad was super professional, friendly, and fair with the price. 10/10—would recommend.

Farhad is excellent! He is knowledgeable, kind, and willing to go the extra mile. We thought we had to replace our fridge door, but he was able to rewire it for much less than the cost of replacement. Highly recommend his services!

Oven repair -- Farhad charged me $80 towards an oven door hinge repair and tune-up, which was supposed to go towards the total quote of $495 for the work, including parts and labor. He claimed the part costs $150+. He came back several weeks later with the wrong part. When I followed up, he said the right part was no longer available. I asked if he could contact the manufacturer, but he stopped responding and kept the $80 fee though he did not do the repair or the tune-up. I called the manufacturer who identified a certified parts distributer that shipped me the correct part for $27, including shipping. After I texted him that I found the part and confronted him about his false pricing on the part to justify a huge estimate of almost $500, he unabashedly offered to complete the job for another $200 for a total of $280 just for labor. I offered him $230 for labor (inclusive of the $80 already paid) and he refused and also continued to refuse to refund the $80. He did not take responsibility for wasting my time, not doing a good job finding the part himself, and for attempting to ghost me. Farhad treated us this way despite being loyal customers or maybe because we were loyal customers he thought he could sucker us. (Update: Venmo refunded my $80 that Farhad tried to keep even though he didn't find the part or complete the work and I found another company that came out same day for $200 in labor, less than what I offered Farhad and he refused. They got the job done, unlike Farhad.) Dishwasher repair -- When he came with the wrong part for the oven, I asked if he could at least do a minor repair on the lid of the dishwasher soap tray. He said he would need to charge me a separate $80 to do the repair, even though he was already out for the oven door which he wasn't able to fix. He agreed to take $50. A couple minutes later, he claimed to have fixed it, then I pointed out it wasn't opening anymore. He said it would open automatically when you start the dishwasher because of a solenoid (??). I then asked how am I supposed to fill the soap tray. He then said, "Oh, yea," then complained he'd have to work on it some more. It took him a couple more minutes. The whole thing took him maybe 5 minutes. I, unfortunately, can't recommend Farhad after this last experience with him as he seemed pretty clueless for both the oven and dishwasher repair projects, lazy in not finding the correct part, and unethical in keeping the $80 fee for the oven and for charging me the separate $50 to spend a few minutes on the dishwasher even though he wasn't able to fix the oven.

Had Farhan repair our air conditioning unit that had the condensation pipe pugged. Called him at 4:45 and he was here by 6:00 and done in a hour. Very professional and very reasonable price.
