When I bought my home, I noticed a small moisture issue in the basement but put off addressing it. After a quick Google search, I called three companies. Champion stood out immediately—while the other two sent me to voicemail, a real person at Champion answered, listened to my concerns, and scheduled an appointment for the next morning at 8:30. Sure enough, Kalob arrived right on time. Kalob walked me through the basement, explained the entire process, and answered all my questions. To my surprise, he provided an estimate on the spot—no waiting days for a quote. While I waited to hear from the other companies, it became clear who I would choose. Both other contractors arrived late, and one was three times the cost of Champion for the same work. I hired Champion on the condition they finish before March 7th because that was the due date of our first child. Kalob made it happen, scheduling the job for March 4th-6th. The crew arrived promptly at 8 a.m. on day one. They carefully protected my home with plastic coverings and even shielded my belongings in the basement—thoughtful touches I didn’t expect. The jackhammers were noisy, but expected considering what they had to do, and by the time I got home on the final day, the project was complete. The basement was spotless, and the final cost matched the original quote. Since then, we've had several heavy storms, and my basement has stayed completely dry—a huge relief after years of stress. My only regret is not calling Champion sooner. If you need basement waterproofing, Champion is the company to call. They answer the phone, show up on time, stick to their schedule, and are completely transparent with pricing. From a homeowner's perspective, I am not sure what else you woudl possibly want from a company. When my basement flooded, I felt hopeless—these guys saved the day. Champion recently installed 18 piers to stabilize our foundation. The general manager, Jake Smith, checked in with me daily, and was always available and responsive when we needed him. The crew was also very eager to make us happy. There was a lot of excavating involved, and whoever marks the underground lines in advance had failed to mark the water line. It broke. But Jake called around to the various plumbers in town and chose the one who would take fix it right away. Our water service was restored within a couple hours. An 8-man crew worked diligently and completed the job quickly. The guy who drove the excavator drove expertly, managing to work without damage in some extremely tight places.

I’ve been meaning to leave a review on the Lexington location for a couple months but have been busy. Jake Smith (general manager) and his crew of guys were great when waterproofing my basement and adding I-Beams. Jake was super professional, down to earth, fast communicator, and respectful of our home & humble to his crew that works for him. Jake updated us on what was taking place the three days his crew was here and he always responds to our questions no matter how small. Would recommend!

If I could give them a ZERO, I would! I have contacted them on several different occasions to see when someone would be replacing the items that they damaged and I got no response before my deployment. I even went as far as contacting the BBB and they wouldn’t even reply also. This company is very unprofessional and I will NEVER do business with them again. Employees were too busy playing around, discussing not being paid enough/promised raises, etc! My deck became detached from my home and the spilled cement on my belongings! Only one item of many was replaced and I’m not happy! My things were used as a trash can when they spilled cement on my belongings also. If you’re looking to get work done…. PLEASE GO ELSEWHERE!!

Our basement flooded this spring when central KY experienced record flooding. We obtained quotes from four companies to waterproof our basement and ended up going with Champion - the price was reasonable and the service we received from Jake Smith (general manager) was outstanding. The project was completed in the budgeted timeframe and our total did not exceed our quote. The employees cleaned up and our basement looked better when they left than when they came. I was impressed with their professionalism, tidiness and efficiency. And it worked - we've had rain since they finished and our basement is dry.
