Layman Masonry

Layman Masonry did a beautiful job with repairing my sidewalk in three different places, repairing the chimney and creating new steps for my front porch. They were easy to work with and worked really hard when they were here. They are affordable and also were able to start and finish the three projects within a very reasonable time period. The foreman on the job, Larry, and his boss, Rod Layman, were very kind and attentive and available to talk with when needed. And not only do they do a great job, but they also don’t require any money up front which says a lot about any business I believe, and that’s hard to find these days. I would highly recommend for anyone to use this company.

We had an awesome experience with this company. Our project was a challenging one that involved removing brick, stone pavers and jackhammering through concrete on a pool deck. Due to buried pool drains it was necessary to hand dig six feet down to locate the broken pipe. They took expert precautions to minimize the area they had to dig up and kept the area as tidy as possible throughout the project. It was a huge relief for us to have such a skilled team show up every day, work steadily and keep the site as tidy as possible the entire time. Now that the job is completed and the concrete, pavers and brick have been rebuilt by this talented team, we can honestly say that we’re thrilled with the outcome and would very highly recommend Layman Masonry.

Contacted a couple different companies for some larger cracks we found in our recently purchased 90s brick ranch. Layman Masonry was the first to reply, was able to get a ballpark quote quickly via text with some pictures before an in person walk-around the next week. The guys did a great job fixing the larger cracks and also repaired some smaller more cosmetic stuff - the blended things in really well so you can hardly tell a repair was done. They started early and worked hard through some miserable weather. Overall, the prices were fair and reasonable for excellent work.

We have an old 1930's house that needed a large chimney repointed and cap replaced. Rod at Layman Masonry and his team were referred to us by our roofer, Kelvin Howard, for doing good work. We contacted Rod for a quote, and he came out the very next day to quote a price that was good considering the amount of work to be done. Rob and his team are insured and were courteous and friendly throughout the project. They showed up on time and maintained a clean job site. The project consisted of grinding out and replacing the old mortar, a new chimney cap and to put two coats of paint back on the chimney. The project was completed in 4 days despite rain every other day. We were very happy with the work done and will use Rod again in the future.

I recently hired layman masonry for some repair work on our brick patio, and I couldn't be happier with the results. Jon came out and was very thorough in describing the process of the project and timeliness to completion. His attention to detail surpassed my expectations. I highly recommend them.

Layman sent the most pleasant young man to patch a few holes in my crawl space. He did such a great job. After recent heavy rain, there is no water intrusion through those holes. Even though it was after hours, he also filled other holes and gaps that were not in the quote.
