The expert technician, Matt, who worked on my garage doors was knowledgeable and personable, he even shared his bag of jolly ranchers with me! During the job they ran into a technical issue, but he took the time to explain it to me and show me that, but wholly was able to solve it and finish the job without a hitch. I would not trust anyone else to install or service my garage doors in the Greater Pittsburgh area! 5 stars and above!

I just had what I would describe as an amazing level of customer service and professionalism from Sara in the office and Matt her husband who is in the field. We had an emergency situation where a large garage door on our commercial building would not go down and obviously we can’t leave it up all night so I called Sara and she said her husband on another job but he was able to finish that job and get to my place in time before my guys were off their shift. Needless to say, they fixed the job quickly and efficiently and it wasn’t that simple.Their attitude, their helpfulness, their kindness and their follow up was second to none. I would recommend them and hire them to do any garage door work I ever need and I have a bunch of garage doors in my building so they will Continue getting my business. They are not one of these companies that has rolled up into a big conglomerate. They are a family company, and you could tell by their people.

He responded quickly, showed up right when he said he would, and clearly laid out the repair plan and pricing before getting started. There were no surprises, no upselling, just straight talk and solid work. What really blew me away was the cost difference. I had previously received a quote from another company (Sonic Garage Door) for $1,600 to replace the garage door motor and parts after they tried to sell me a new motor and track that did not fit in my space. David did the exact same job for just $550. Same motor, same materials, a fraction of the cost. It’s rare to find someone this honest and efficient. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Dave P Giel Garage Doors!! My garage door broke early this morning and we ended up calling Dave. He is reasonably priced, professional and knowledgeable and prompt on time. He did not hesitate to fit us in for a service call today between other already scheduled appointments. Other companies we called offering same day service did not have the same level of flexibility and promptness as Dave. He is definitely our go to for garage door repairs in the future. His father installed my garage door over 15 years ago and we had minimal issues. Good family business!

David, Vinnie, and Matt did a great job on my garage door emergency. The hinge broke, and fell on my wife’s car as she was pulling out. She bent the lower door panel and caused some hardware damage. I had to manipulate the door w a pry bar just to get it shut. I called David Giel on a Friday morning at 7AM. They came to the house at 11 AM(between jobs on a busy day) and had the entire door and opener repaired and in perfect order by 2PM. We are so thankful for their service and quality workmanship. This is our go to place for all garage door needs!

So, I they won't let me give David 10 stars. I would if I could. A couple of months after buying a home, my garage door spring broke. I had a company come in and fix the spring but said the door was not installed properly and recommended I get a new door/tracks. They were to send me an estimate, and after 3 calls, I never received it. Three weeks later, the door came off the tracks. I contacted another company that came out and charged me an arm and a leg, just to get the door open and get my car out. They also provided an estimate for replacement, which was outrageous. The following day I had 3 companies come out to give quotes. Two were much more reasonable and then there was David. It turns out that yes, the door was installed incorrectly (like everyone said) but David just corrected the issues and said there was no need for a new door. Saved thousands of dollars! This is now the smoothest operating garage door I have ever seen! After dealing with four companies in a matter of weeks, David is now my go to garage guy, though with his outstanding work, I doubt I will ever need him again.
