Classic Sash & Door Company

We just had Classic Sash & Door replace 13 windows in our 1939 home and it turned out fantastic. They were able to complete the bulk of the install in a single day and everything by the second day. Everyone has been friendly and professional from the start to finish and they did great work. We originally planned to do the install ourselves, but getting everything done in 2 days was well worth the install cost. They even pointed out a few defects from the manufacturer (unfortunate, but not unexpected) and are replacing those windows under warranty.

This company? Well, wow - just wow. I had them replace a 1931 single pane gridded window that was huge (6'x7'). Naturally, the architecture of the home would not allow for just any new window install and certainly not even a high quality vinyl. It had to blend and not damage the surrounding interior framing which would have been difficult to match. Classic Sash knocked it out of the park. They were great to work with through every step of the process and offered up a fair price for this job without a constant "upsell routine" in order to get the best deal. The installers were competent and exceptionally neat with a clear eye for all the small yet important details. We couldn't be happier and would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Installation was smooth, clean and quick! Our house is quieter, warmer (or cooler) than before installation. The windows are beautiful and fit seamlessly into our 100 year old home. Every bit of the project in my 100 year old house was above and beyond expectations and past experiences. Beginning with the salesman who came out and did a thorough assessment of our needs and continuing through to the office staff and the two great installers, we encountered nothing but excellence. When we bought our home last year, a 1909 Victorian farmhouse in North Portland, most of the windows were painted shut. We explored restoring them because we thought that’s what we should do with an old home, but we were convinced of the value of replacing them after meeting with Bo Sullivan, an old home specialist at Classic Sash and Door. Bo taught us so much about our style of home, its unique features and how Classic Sash and Door could replace the windows which would reduce noise and improve energy efficiency while preserving the original look. (In fact, he later emailed us some history and photos of our home dating back 100+ years. What a gift!) Installation was a 2 day process. The installers were professional, friendly, and very thorough. It’s quite a job to fit square windows in wonky frames. Our new windows are beautiful, work great and definitely improve the look of our home. Can’t wait to save up the money to replace the rest!
