Unfortunately, as much as I dislike writing negative reviews, our experience with Asaf has been extremely negative. We engaged him to replace the motherboard on our gates about 10 months ago, during which time the work completed was satisfactory. Asaf swapped out the part (part cost was ~$350), and the total billed to us was $1,000. After only 10 months of light usage, the gates are having the same issue. We reached out to Asaf since the work was "warrantied" for two (2) years, and to our surprise, he asked for an additional $450 since his labor is not covered by the warranty... for a part that costs less than $350. Looking back, we are not even sure he put in a new motherboard initially as these parts are not supposed to fail after just a few months. Due to this, we requested him to simply provide us the new warrantied part and we would engage another professional to complete the rest of the repair. After diagnosing the issue, Asaf took out the old motherboard, left, and simply stopped replying to communications. I would warn others before engaging his services - he is great and courteous when he needs is billing for services at inflated prices, but he is a ghost when it comes to honoring his own work. I recommend looking elsewhere for your garage and gate needs. I will be filing a complaint with the Bureau of Security and Investigative Services, which is the licensing authority, and recommend others who have had issues with this company do the same. It seems that there are several others that he has done this to based on the reviews. Beware.

I recently had an emergency situation with my gate motor , and I am extremely grateful for the prompt and efficient service provided by Smart gate and Garage Door Company. When I called, their friendly customer service representative immediately understood the urgency of the situation and dispatched a technician to my location within an hour. The technician arrived fully equipped and quickly diagnosed the issue. They explained the problem to me in a way that was easy to understand and provided me with a fair and transparent quote for the repairs.I highly recommend them for their reliable and trustworthy service.

Smart gate&garage door were very professional and helpful when we decided to have our existing gates converted to electric. He advised us the best way and came up with a very competitive price.

The first review I've written. I would say this is the worst contractor transaction I've ever experienced; I found the company on Google to perform a swinging gate repair on a property damage claim caused by my company. The check was sent to Smart Gate and they never confirmed the receipt of the check for prepayment. Then, my calls were ignored several times but on the occassions I could reach Asaf he gave me three different days and times that his crew would perform the repair and all three were not met. To this point, I just got off phone and the gate hasn't been repaired over this 3 weeks period. I've had to call Asaf from different phone numbers to get him to answer.

Asaf and his crew provided me with a good experience installing motors for my Carriage doors. The crew was courteous and efficient and ensured I was comfortable with the work before they completed everything. Asaf also stopped by after the work was complete to inspect the job and ensured I was happy with the work. Would highly recommend their company if you are need of Gate or Garage services. Had a warranty claim assigned to them by my home warranty company. They no called/no showed on my twice and were not very responsive to my calls. It seems like these guys might do bigger gate projects and my warranty claim was not a priority for them. If they don't want to do home warranty work, maybe they just shouldn't.
