Precision Garage Door of Bay Area

I got a new garage door system (lift-master latest 2025) with all the buff and sham with them, recently in August. Antonio Mendoza seemed a nice professional. A month into it, the nut on the handle that holds the door which moves it up and down the belt literally fell off after it closed. I called them at 8:30 pm (as on date) and they’ve scheduled a service appointment the next day afternoon. Too bad they didn’t have anyone to come right away. Secondly, although I liked the install, the tech should have verified that his design of placement of handle (which is on the strut of our garage door) actually is reliable and hold the cycles of open and close. That’s the only main component that needs the most sturdiness as it lifts the door up and down every cycle! Too bad they didn’t check that.. although I did question being an engineer for 30+ years myself. They need this "design thinking" not just techs that can tighten and tighten nuts and bolts or install a belt based system. I’ll report back once it’s fixed and a better design of placement is done, hope he can find a reliable sturdy solution. I have homes in other states and they do it all too well. I’m assuming in northern cal they’ll have the smartest people ? I’ll be happy to change the rating and provide a updated experience after an update and if this is resolved with sturdy operation for few months!

My door was in need of service. I was able to get a same day appointment. Carlos was great. His attention to detail, courtesy and ability to explain what was needed were outstanding. He also walked me through what he had done and showed me how I could do the yearly service myself. He informed me about more durable rollers which I will get at a later date. Very, very pleased with him and his work. Great company !

My garage door spring broke during the night. I called Precision Garage Door of the Bay Area at 8:30 in the morning. The called was answered quickly and efficiently. I was told my technician would be by between 8-12. When I read my text, the time had change to 8-10. Mario called around 9 and was at my house by 9:30. Mario did a safety inspection and made some recommendations. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I decided to replace with upgraded springs, drums and cables. He started working and said approximately an hour and a half. He was done before 11. Had me inspect the work and showed what was replaced. He also adjusted the garage door opener and lubricated all the door joints. I’m very happy with the quality and workmanship. I would recommend Precision to my family and friends.

We are very please with our new garage door. From our initial contact with Precision Garage Door Service until the installation of the new door, took approximately three weeks. The Technicians were friendly and knowledgeable. Communication with the company was also thorough and appreciated; they sent thru email and text pictures of the Technicians that we were to deal with before they appeared at our door. We would recommend this company to anyone needing a new garage door. The quality is also excellent.

After wasting time and money, I finally called Precision. They sent Carlos, who was extremely professional and performed a full inspection—something the other two companies never did. He walked me through what was wrong, provided clear proof of the issues, and gave me a detailed quote. I approved the work, and he completed everything perfectly, showing me the results afterward. Lesson learned: just because a company has a nice website and glowing Google reviews doesn’t make it legitimate. I would have saved myself a lot of hassle by calling Precision first. I’ll be using them for all my garage door needs going forward.

My spring broke, of course right before the holiday. I told the dispatcher I was not in a rush it he put me on the schedule and tech was making repairs within 2 hours of calling. The tech was awesome made repairs in a tight space. I was really great full for his professionalism and prompt attention to my broken garage door. He was awesome and quick
