A1 Garage Door Service

I was looking for all options to repair or replace my broken 20+ year old garage door and was referred to A1 by two neighbors. The call into service with Samantha was perfect; very knowledgeable and friendly. Also, very fast and flexible on appointment dates. Brandon was the perfect technician, nice and very professional. My door failed every one of the 29 safety check items. He explained all the new door options, had springs and door samples and offered warranty and service plans. The door is being ordered, but he also made temporary repairs so I could use the existing door until the new one is installed. We had a conference call with his manager and he answered questions in a relaxed manner; no hard sell. I was very satisfied and recommend A1.

Chris Taffe calls at 7:15. Arrives at 8:15. Of course the problem mysteriously disappears when he arrives. Does a bit of testing. Says the sensors aren’t working … $353. Replaces them. Goes to show me that they work and the actual problem I’ve been explaining about how I have to keep manually lifting the door reappears. He goes to the truck gets a scale. Comes back the scale says the door I’m lifting is 89 lbs when garage doors should be less than 5 lbs. Explains this 8 foot door is a total of 345 lbs and says the springs need to be replaced. Here’s 3 options. I did some girl math and explained how I concluded to go with the most expensive lifetime warranty option. Option 1 $747. 2 year warranty. Option 2 $1200 something. 5 year warranty. Option 3 $1400 something. Lifetime warranty. There’s a pic of the options. Once I signed off on that he got on the ladder to start removing the springs and said if these pieces are good I’ll use them but if they aren’t I’ll ask you if you want to replace or reuse them. He takes off the rotators which are grinded out because of the tension the motor was being forced to pick up. He went to the truck … got new ones. Explained the difference. Asked what I wanted to do. Of course I bought the new ones. $2,200 later. The weight of the door is less than 1/2 a lb. 2 hours later within the time frame he was supposed to arrive he was here, educated me and let me choose, did the repairs on the spot and was gone. Sent an email with the inspection info. And lifetime warranty. Sent a text with a link to Google review (the link is broken but that’s super minor I can type it in) And was on his way to the next job. On time. Professional. Educational. Asked questions. Provided the service. Provided the details of the service. Asked for the review. THIS IS HOW YOUR BUSINESS SHOULD RUN. Smooth. Seamless & Simple Because of SYSTEMS!

Felipe Rolim did a fantastic job! He was polite, professional, and very friendly. He came to my house, placed a sticker on my garage door, and even lubricated it for me. He also explained that I should lubricate it every six months, something I never knew before. Thanks to his help, I’ll be taking better care of my garage from now on.
