Paul did an amazing and cost effective job on our garage door. Most importantly, I could trust his diagnosis with no attempt to upsell, hard sell, or scare me into buying additional services. The original scope of the job was to replace two springs as the garage door was badly out of balance. I had been told by two other companies that the current springs needed to be replaced to balance the door as they were way below spec. Paul reviewed the options with me ranging from replacing the door (as it had a small crack) to adding a strut to just replacing the spring. He called up the door manufacturer and confirmed that my current springs were actually okay. He just tightened them to balance the door perfectly. This cost me less than a third of what he had originally quoted me for the job on the phone. I can whole heartedly recommend Paul and it was a pleasure working with him.

Our old garage door was 22 years old built with the house and was in bad shape and fell off the tracks. 1st Call Garage Doors was able to come out the same day I called and size and price out a complete system (door, track, springs, everything). It took a couple of weeks for the door to get ordered and delivered but once it did they came out immediately and replaced the entire system in a few hours. Fantastic work at a very reasonable price! Paul and Jason provided excellent service! After unsuccessfully troubleshooting, with the manufacturer, an issue I had with a new garage door opener I installed, I found First Call Garage Doors on Angi. I submitted a request for a quote, and they were the first company to call me. Paul spent about 20 minutes talking me thru possible issues and how to resolve them. I decided to schedule an appointment after not being able to fix the issue over the phone. Paul arrived on time for the appointment and identified the issue within a couple of minutes. I asked him to also look at my second door to ensure there were no issues with the other opener I installed. Paul assessed my work, and both doors then provided recommendations. His recommendations were straightforward, and things I could easily see/hear were issues. This was not an attempt to drive up the cost by recommending frivolous services. Paul provided options and estimates, then explained how he determined the cost. I agreed that the price was fair and scheduled the follow-up appointment. Jason arrived on time for the second appointment. Paul joined him shortly after. They completed the work in a reasonable time and cleaned up afterward. They walked me thru what was done and explained what I needed to do to maintain it. Paul and Jason were very professional and personable. I would recommend and use First Call Garage Doors again.

I highly recommend 1st Call Garage Doors! My 22-year old garage door finally died on me so I needed the whole new system installed with a new garage door. I had several different people come out to give me quotes for the job. Paul came out and gave me a MUCH lower quote, and uses the same exact brand "Clopay,", that the others use, including the same exact hardware. His turnaround time was immediate, whereas the other big companies were going to make me wait. I cannot say enough good things about their service, and Paul is an absolute sweetheart that is honest, dependable, and doesn’t do the price gouging that the big companies do.
