State 48 Garage Doors

Best customer experience ever! We came home from a trip to a garage door that wouldn’t open. We called state48 garage doors Monday evening and they came out Tuesday morning. Greg Fenton is knowledgeable and definitely goes the extra mile to help with explaining things and setting up our new key pad and the garage openers in our cars and app on my phone. We are very happy and will absolutely be using them every time and recommending to friends.

We are so happy that we decided to go with State 48 for our new garage doors. We used them once before to replace a spring and their service is superb. From the time we ordered the doors to installation was so quick. The installation itself was flawless. Dave did an amazing job and we are very happy with the result. We strongly recommend State 48 for your needs with any service for your garage.

I cannot give this State 48 repair a positive review. There is still a large gap under my garage door after the seal was replaced. Greg suggested that I go on Amazon and buy a garage door threshold seal and install it myself. After paying State 48 $250, telling the customer to finish the job on his own at that price is not cool. I am no better off now than I was before the repair. Of course I was blamed. After the worthless repair, I was told that my concrete floor was not level & to level my garage floor with concrete to resolve the issue. We all know that nothing is ever plumb, level & square. Leveling the floor to accommodate a flimsy garage door seal is like moving the mountain closer to the shed. There's not a customer on the planet who is going to do this. I paid $250 for a featherweight part that Frost King sells for $16.49 on the Home Depot website. Also, it's not clear why Greg used deck screws to fasten the chintzy foam seal to the door instead of the more appropriate tacks that come with the Frost King part. The narrow deck screws are biting thru the soft foam & the seal is now sagging in areas where the screws have bitten all the way thru. To salvage the repair, I had to back out several screws that have breached the foam. The only reason why I'm giving this review two stars is because Greg really knew his stuff. He was quite familiar with my system just from eyeballing it during the survey. Which is what makes this so confusing. I felt confident that he knew what he was doing which is why I agreed to the repair in the first place. However, the quality of the repair was not commensurate with the survey. If this shoddy repair was an inferior product I could return to the store, I would have. I should have gone with A1 & feel stupid for having flushed $250 down the drain. To do the job right, I'll just have to undo Greg's work & do it myself.

I called because no one else would return my calls and businesses that maintain 5 stars are the only ones we hire at this point. They came out same day for an estimate on a larger project but the immediate project Greg said he could handle right then and there and the cost was very reasonable. I needed my controller raised up due to the builders putting everything extremely low. Greg explained what he could do thoroughly and asked my preference for options. He even went the extra mile to reinstall the controller the proper way but due to studs in the attic not being 16" apart after testing the space he couldn’t do it, which I was fine with because it’s not his fault the builder didn’t stick to code. The final product looks great, and is even sturdier than before. He greased up my rollers as well, which again, going the extra mile to do the full service. Greg was very polite, knowledgeable, and professional. Their numbers saved in my contacts now. I’ll be calling if we ever need service. I can now use my space for my businesses with no limitations! Greg was awesome! Garage repairs can be dangerous so I’m grateful for these guys. Our cable completely bent our bracket and then snapped off. Greg came out and replaced both brackets, a cable, and realigned our tracks, and even did a tune up on it. Definitely recommend!

Had a great experience with State 48 Garage Doors! From the easy-to-schedule appointment to the visit and installation, the customer service was excellent. I appreciated Greg's explanation of our options, and he was able to install our new system right away.
