Excellent experience with Precision Garage Door Service of Raleigh. Scheduling the service appointment was very efficient, the staff at RGDSR was quite responsive. Technician Tim arrived right on time, was highly knowledgeable and very skilled at garage door issue diagnosis and repair. He installed two new garage door motors in a very reasonable amount of time and they work great. Tim took the time to thoroughly explain the operation of the new garage door openers and assisted us in reprogramming the remote functions in our vehicles. I highly recommend Garage Door Service of Raleigh for all things garage door related.

Ricky was just fantastic. My garage door would not operate anymore. He explained all the options to me. There was no pressure to select one over another. I got a new motor as the old one was 13 years old. He explained maintenance to me and showed me while he oiled the door. The entire job was finished faster than I expected. Late yesterday afternoon our garage door opener malfunctioned. I searched the internet for area firms and found Precision Garage Door Services website. Reviews were all very positive. They feature on-line scheduling and I was able to schedule a technician to come to the home between 8-10am the next morning! That’s right, the very next morning. Chris was out technician and he fixed the opener and we had him do maintenance service on the moving parts. Done in 30 minutes! Excellent service. When i need to replace this old opener, I’ll contact Precision!

After years of dealing with constant issues—springs snapping, loud noises, and a garage door that just never operated quite right—Richard from Precision Garage Doors of Raleigh came in and completely transformed our setup. When I made the appointment, I was told there would be a $95 mandatory charge for the "25 point safety inspection" that has to be done prior to any work. I get that there is typically a service call flat fee for any kind of home repair call. But there was no safety inspection. He looked at the door and immediately said it was "totaled" and said had no tools to do repair on this door, it was way overdue for replacement (14 years old.) Said it only had a three-year life. Maybe he meant warranty. So he wrote up the estimate for a replacement door, just the door, $4000. Said it would take 4-6 weeks but if I wanted the model manufactured in Raleigh, less than a week but $7000. He said he would help me get my car out of the garage. He wrote up the estimate, took measurements, showed me the catalog of options (i am very limited because in townhome community with identical garage doors.) When I told him I didn't want to sign a contract for new door until I looked into a second opinion, he said he couldn't save the estimate he had written up, it would have to be redone if I decided to go with them and that would involved another service call/fee! When I asked about getting the help getting my car out of garage and he told me he couldn't do that without a signed contract, then said for $350 he could. I tried to pay the $106 service call fee with credit card, but he waived it away and said something like "don't even worry about that." (But I did get an invoice via e-mail.) I guess this was more of a sales call and not a repair call.

We returned home to find our garage door not working! We were locked out of our own home. After considerable effort, my wife got under the garage door and opened the front door. We called Precision the next day! Scotty Johnson called half an hour before arriving. He assessed our situation, explained what could be done, and prepared estimates for the work. Once we approved the estimate, Scotty began work and completed it in a timely manner! He explained what we needed to do to keep our Garage Door operating correctly! We are so grateful that he explained everything to us, was proficient in installing the new parts, and left us with a garage door that works smoothly and quietly! Thanks Scotty and thanks Precision!
