Radon Eliminator | Mitigation | Testing

Awesome experience to a bad situation (high levels of radon discovered on inspection). We (buyers) worked with Radon Eliminator and they worked with the seller and agent. John (our radon technician) was very professional and walked us through the entire process. Help decide on location of the system so it will work as normal but be aesthetically pleasing (tucked away in the corner away from view of the street or patio). They paid attention to the details like caulking surfaces, cleaned up job site, etc. All took less than a half day. Could not be more happy with them!

My husband and I have had a horrible experience with Radon Eliminator. Ben came to our new home to give us a quote. This was a pleasant experience. The beginning of our negative experience began when I was told someone would contact me the next morning to schedule a time for the mitigation system to be installed. No one called me for two days, so I had to reach out to them. Ben scheduled us for December 17 at 9 am. My husband took off work to make sure he was at the house to let him in. No one showed up at 9 or had the decency to communicate why they were not present. After an hour, my husband called Ben and he said he would be to our house in 5 minutes, only to never show up. We called back again but received no response until two days later. Ben admitted there must’ve been a scheduling error on their part, so he rescheduled us for New Year’s Eve at 9 am. Again, no one from Radon Eliminator showed up. After calling and texting Ben’s direct line and calling Radon Eliminator’s google number that morning, Ben called my husband hours later and said he was out of the area and wasn’t sure why someone didn’t show up. He then rescheduled us for a THIRD time, for two days later, January 2, 2025. The night before I confirmed with Ben through a text message when he would arrive on January 2. He replied and told me he’d be there at 9. Ben nor anyone from Radon Eliminator showed up to our house nor did they reach out to us to explain why they have no showed us a third time. We were counting on this company to responsible. I am due to have a baby at the end of this month, and we didn’t want to fully live in our new home until the radon was under control. Unfortunately, due to this company’s lack of trustworthiness, our move-in timeline has to be pushed back causing unnecessary stress to a 9 month pregnant woman. We are disgusted with the lack of communication, competence, and professionalism from Radon Eliminator. I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I started by buying a cheap mail in radon test on Amazon. That test came back at ~6pCi/L, so higher than the EPA suggested action level. I gave Radon Eliminator a call to set up a more professional test. They left a monitor in my basement over a weekend and that read a average of 5.7pCi/L. So pretty much right in line with that mail in test. I decided to have them install a mitigation system (which meant they waived the cost of doing the test). Install for my home took maybe 2 hours. Pretty painless. At the start I was expecting that it might be a couple grand to get this done, but Radon Eliminator quoted me ~$900 for the system, much less that I was bracing myself for. They left the monitor here again after the install and it was left for another weekend. When they came back to pick it up, the average reading was down to 1.3pCi/L. One less thing I need to worry about now. Highly recommended.

So, I called several Radon removal companies in Canton/Akron. All ghosted me once they saw my basement was a dual level and would be difficult. These guys came out and (Ben I believe his name was) told me it would be a bit more difficult than a normal job, but doable. Had to pay a little more for two fans instead of one, but they came out and did a fantastic job in one day. Looks great. Also, they were really honest. They accidentally dropped a pipe on my washing machine, and gave me a sizable discount on the whole project. Being honest, I didn’t even notice any damage, so their professionalism and honesty gives this company a 5 star review!!

Friendly, professional service. The first attempt at mitigation didn't not lower the radon to a safe level. There was no delay in coming back and trying again. the second attempt was successful We're very satisfied with the final result. Very competitively priced.

My Radon Mitigation experience was excellent! Everyone was very courteous and professional. They were honest and took the time to explain the whole process and what to expect. The crew that came out to install the system did a great job and were very professional! My radon levels are significantly lower then when I first got the levels tested. I would highly recommend this company!

Every single individual I spoke with was professional and courteous! I was especially impressed by their crew! They were productive and did exceptional work. Three of the nicest young men I've dealt with in a long time. That's saying something considering I've been a contractor for over 30 years and I am very particular about my own home. I was also very pleased with the price! High marks all around! Tyler their crew chief should be very proud.
