As a first-time home buyer, I knew it was important to hire a thorough and objective home inspector to reveal the good, bad, and ugly about any potential home. With no technical knowledge myself, I was searching for a trustworthy expert to rely on, who could explain things in lay terms and demystify the house inspection part of buying a home. After spending much time online reading articles and perusing websites and reviews, it was the sample report on the General Home Inspection website that convinced me to give Jay a call. Jay immediately put me at ease, explaining the process and patiently answering my questions. It was obvious he had a wealth of experience and information to share, and it was not long before I knew I wanted him on my team. I also attended the home inspection to get to know the house better. Jay worked independently, but called me over at times to show/explain issues he found. He also answered many on-the-spot questions about things I noticed. Jay took many notes and pictures, which ultimately came later that *same* night in a 26-page full color report. The report listed all items inspected, together with their approximate age and condition.
