It sounds like we have a very similar story to the previous review. Our realtor hired Fry to do our home inspection. We arrived mid inspection and promptly asked Fry if he would be checking the walls with his moisture meter because we have an immune compromised child and living in a moldy home would be very dangerous for her. His response was very short and annoyed, and he said that he saw no signs of moisture anywhere so he did not feel the need to check with a moisture meter. Fast-forward to two weeks later, we move into the home and on day two of living there are removing cabinets in the laundry room when we find the wall is covered in black spots. We immediately go to the opposite wall, which is in the guest bathroom and open the cabinet doors and look under the sink, and almost the entire wall is covered with very visible and obvious black mold. And then when we took the drawers out of the vanity, we could see the wall was completely black with mold. In order for this to have been missed, he would’ve had to not even look under the sink for leaks, which is home inspecting 101. The only comments that were provided about this room was that the sink looked "Satisfactory ". There were no pictures taken under any sink in the whole home, and we highly doubt any sinks were checked for leaks. We called him when we found this because we were very confused how this could’ve been missed, in every other home inspection we’ve ever had the inspector has checked under sinks for leaks and taken photos, and even moisture meter checked under sinks. And ESPECIALLY since we asked him specifically to check for moisture. He came to our house and looked at the wall, and said that this should’ve been disclosed to us and that he was not accepting any "culpability ". We had to have a mold remediation team come and rip out the entire wall and replace it, which has cost us several thousand dollars. We fully believe that this is his responsibility to cover these fees, or at the very minimum just apologize for making a mistake and/or being so rude when we asked if he would be moisture checking the walls. His response after leaving our house was to not say another word to us, but to send us an email with no text, but including a legal document that he wanted us to sign stating we would not leave a negative review about him anywhere or else he could sue us. And if we agreed to sign that, then he would send us back our fee that we paid him. I honestly have never dealt with someone running a business that was so incredibly rude before. He put us in a very dangerous situation for my daughter, and we would not have bought this home if we had known that this was an issue. And there were MANY other issues that he did not mention. When the mold remediation team got here, they pointed out that the roof overhangs had water damage all around the exterior of the home that were not listed in his report as well. We also had a plumber come to install a new showerhead and they immediately told us the shower electrical and plumbing was not up to code and it was actually dangerous for my kids to be taking a shower in that bathroom. This whole thing was a horrible and extremely stressful experience, which could have been somewhat alleviated if he had just been an honest person and taken some accountability for this situation. I believe it’s more important to share this experience with the public than sign his document to get a refund back, so hopefully this can help someone.

Paul was recommended by our realtor to inspect the home we wanted to purchase, since her usual inspector was fully booked and unavailable. Looking back, I wish we had just waited for the other inspector or done more research and chosen our own . We understand that no inspection will ever be perfect, but you expect major issues to be identified especially when the same inspector had previously called out a similar problem on the home we were selling. Less than a month after moving in, we began experiencing roof leaks in both the living room and our baby’s nursery. The nursery leak was caused by a damaged HVAC unit with a rusted drip pan that had not been properly installed or maintained. This issue was completely overlooked during the inspection, despite clear signs of leaking and water damage in the attic. Because of this, we were left with a $4,000+ repair bill for something that should have been caught and addressed during negotiations with the sellers. When we raised our concerns, Paul offered to come back and look at the HVAC again. Even then, he did not recognize the problem until my husband went into the attic with him and pointed it out directly. He did not admit his mistake in missing the rusted drip pan, nor did he offer to file a claim with his insurance, even though this was clearly an oversight on his part. If you choose to use this inspection company, I strongly recommend hiring additional specialists such as HVAC, roofing, and pool inspectors to ensure nothing is missed.

recently used Fry Home Inspection and had a fantastic experience! The inspector was punctual, thorough, and explained everything clearly. Their detailed report gave me great confidence in my home purchase. What impressed me the most was the inspector's attention to detail and willingness to explain potential concerns in a way that was easy to understand. They provided a comprehensive report with clear photographs and actionable recommendations, which gave me confidence in my home-buying decision. I also appreciated their military discount, which made the service even more affordable. Highly recommend Fry Home Inspection for their professionalism and commitment

If I could give no stars I would. We used Paul as first time homebuyers and 5 years later we are still hearing "Oh wow I’m surprised that even passed inspection". Improper grading, bad electric work, bad ductwork, a dishwasher he mentioned installing during the walkthrough (weird) that my husband and I had to reinstall because it wasn’t even bolted in to the counter. It’s been a nightmare dealing with a home we never would have purchased had we known the multitude of issues. Always pay for your own home inspector, lessons learned.

Paul was outstanding to work with and we are glad we hired him. He is extremely detailed and thorough, professional, and arrived early to the property. He was kind enough to invite us to sit through the inspection with us and when he was done he answered all my questions and concerns. He walked me through his report and through his findings and it was well worth the investment to have him come inspect our home! He looked at everything from roof nails that weren’t caulked, fireplace, outlets, sod, door hinges, to the HVAC, he found the threshold needed to be adjusted as airflow from outside was coming through. He tested all of the air vents and the temperature of the air coming out and to all of water faucets and shower head. He even gave some improvement recommendations! He was outstanding and provided us a detailed report with pictures the very same day! WORTH IT. Hire him!
