The 1-year warranty on our new home was approaching. We wanted a thorough inspection in order to evaluate if repairs were warranted. I was believing for a Home Inspection Company that would do an extensive evaluation. Searching the Web I came across the House Exam Inspection Company. They had awesome on-line reviews; therefore, I gave them a call. Pete arrived at my home in the morning ready to go. He went over all the areas in which he would be inspecting. Plumbing, wall outlets, attic area, ceiling fans, and so much more. Pete walked around the perimeter, and inspect the roof. Water Sprinkler system and the outside water pressure level were addressed. The job took a little under two hours. I was well pleased with his services and the comprehensive outline evaluation e-mailed to me. Don’t hesitate to book Adam for your home inspections! Not only did he respond within two minutes of us requesting a quote (seriously, TWO!), he also managed to get us in the very next day. We had the inspection report in our hands in less than 24 hours (which can’t always be the case, but point is: this guy doesn’t mess around!). He saved us what could be tens of thousands of dollars down the line by thoroughly inspecting our quick move-in new build. He explained the most important parts of the inspection report in lay-man’s terms (very important!) in a same day phone call. He is patient, responsive, and THOROUGH. I used Adam and House Exam last year to purchase my first home. Overall he did a "decent" job but I am leaving a one star review because of a few things that the company needs to improve on. Adam was "unable" to fully access the attic and crawlspace for inspection. Since I have owned the house I have had several workers over for various projects and they were able to access both of these areas with no issues whatsoever. Yes the clearance is tight in the crawlspace- most are. No, the home did not have access decking in the attic, but again, I have had a maintenance inspection since then as well as additional work on the HVAC, and workers were able to access just fine. Secondly, Adam told me to not worry about rotting trim and said that it could be replaced very easily. He overlooked improperly installed flashing which I am now having to have replaced, as well as the siding on both sides of the house where the trim was. Adam was nice and easy to work with, but the quality of their services could use some improvement.

I called to schedule an inspection on a Friday and Adam was able to do the inspection the very next day! He did a very thorough job of looking at everything and was extremely helpful explaining everything in the inspection report! He has also been very helpful in answering all of our questions regarding the inspection report. We definitely recommend House Exam and Adam for a home inspection!
