My experience with Pillar to Post was overall very positive. Ted was pur inspector, and he was fantastic to work with. For my wife and I this was our home inspection experience, but it was super easy and painless from scheduling through completion of the inspection.

Pillar to Post is a great company to work with. They are detail-oriented and outstanding with the home buyer. No detail is too small to be explained. The reports are the most technologically advanced of all the inspection companies out there. They are always my go-to inspection company, and Ted is my favorite inspector.

Hired Chris for home inspection in 2011, he was rude and condescending, rushed the inspection and the report barely turned out anything of substance. I hired a different inspector for my peace of mind, and he uncovered code violation on the sidings that led to dry rot in the walls and the seller agreed to cover $15,000 of the $20,000 it cost to address the problem. $500 for an inspection isn’t pocket change — it’s enough to keep most people from getting a second opinion. I’m glad I trusted my gut and hired someone else, because otherwise I would’ve given Chris a 4-star review and ended up paying a lot more than the $20,000 to fix the issue when I sold the home. I don’t know if Pillar to Post still do that, but when I hired Chris he had a stack of paper for me to sing clearing their liability, which I haven’t seen other inspectors do.

The gentleman doing the inspection was so thorough and professional. He worked efficiently and answered all my questions as he was working. He spoke in a language I could understand, not construction jargon. I have the utmost confidence in his findings and continue to be very impressed with this business.
