After trying several well known local Solar companies, I ended up making numerous deposits and waiting with no results. The other vendors actually cancelled and one took 6 months to return my deposit. They simply did not want to deal with Townhomes and the State’s web of permitting and processing Then I was fortunate enough to stumble into Devon and he referred me to Dan D’Antin with Island Pacific Energy. I was sold on the first intake interview. I let Dan know I was versed in the solar considerations after 5 previous attempts over 5 years. Dan cut to the chase and took advantage of the latest state initiatives to get me up and running right away. The installation team showed up and were totally solid courteous Braddahs. At the end of the day they were beaming and proud to show me their install handiwork. They installed 19 panels and a Tesla back up battery at the same time in one afternoon. The best words to describe it are " Clean and Sexy." See the attached pictures. Dan has patiently fielded all of my detailed questions since my install with fully referenced and researched follow-ups. I was not expecting such responsive service support, months after my install. I’ve referred Dan to others with my simple summary of AKAMAI! No one believed me because it seemed too simple, but I’m happy to say that my friends are now believers. I’m not into testimonials because there are so many fake ones out there. But this one is worth my effort. If it seems too good to believe I don’t blame you. Just see for yourself! Island Pacific wouldn't return my calls for weeks. Dan was my point of contact. Eventually got a quote after many calls. However, price was WAY ABOVE other local companies that make the customer feel appreciated. Went with Larry of Solar Services Hawaii who saved me MANY THOUSANDS and get right back to you when you leave them a message. The reply to my review from Island Pacific Energy was "Sadly, this review appears to be is an attempt to advertise a competitor." Sadly, you would like potential customers to think so. No, you are wrong, it is the TRUTH that Dan quoted me an exact amount and then changed the quote thousands of dollars higher! I got more panels and the two required batteries for thousands less than your revised quote - the first one you refused to honor, Sadly this is the truth that people need to know! Satisfied customers do not realize that they could have gotten a better product for less if they had simply shopped around… sadly.

I have had the good fortune of interacting with Joe and Devon at Island Pacific Energy. I've been in the solar industry for 9 years and I appreciate how long IPE has been in business (2007). At the end of the day, they sell high quality products, communicate well, and are part of the community.

We are in the process of assessing our solar needs for an upcoming renovation. In addition, our current system, which was installed by another company, has not been working optimally. Dan was incredibly responsive to our initial call for service. He came to the house the very next day, explained and optimized our current system, and assessed our future needs. I very much look forward to working with him and his team with our project next summer.

Quality from start to finish and beyond! We met with multiple PV providers but found Island Pacific Energy to be the most professional and highest quality of workmanship. They were not the cheapest, but like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. From our initial meeting with Dan it was clear that they had the experience and knowledge to get it done right. The estimate was clear and did not change. The installation team was stellar. Communication was clear and fluid, the installers were professional and clean, and everything was completed on schedule. We had an unusual software glitch with the inverter and our pool pump (not Island Pacific Energy's fault) and Joe, the owner of the company, came out to resolve the issue after speaking with some folks at the inverter company. Ended up being a quick manual adjustment fix but shows the dedication to their customers from top to bottom. Our system has been up and running perfectly for the last 4 years with no issues. Love paying the minimum HECO bill every month and being "off-grid," so when everyone else's power goes out we're still good to go. Highly recommend this local company.

We installed a PV system on our home and at each step of the process, from proposal to install to follow up service calls, IPE has given us excellent customer service. Owner of the company is knowledgeable and staff is polite and responsive. Panels came with an app that lets us monitor our system and IPE can troubleshoot remotely. Low stress / high satisfaction. Will continue to enthusiastically refer friends and family to this business.

Great people to work with. They handled everything on our behalf with the state and our home owners association. Install and permitting was seamless!
