Jerry Owens Electric

I really wanted to like these guys because they are nice people. I have used them three times in the past and I am always happy with the work performed but their service level is terrible. All three times took repeated calls from me to get them out to my house. They were always polite and always promised to be there / call to confirm and they always failed to follow through until you hounded them to show up. I don't think they understand the concept of a "schedule".. I gave them a try again on my latest electrical need and once again I was disappointed as they didn't call and didn't show after waiting all day even after making two calls to ask for status (and promised that someone would call right back / follow up). The woman who answers the phone didn't seem to realize the value of a wasted day.... So I told her to stop trying to get me an answer and to just cancel. They lost my business due to incompetence, lack of follow through and the lack of understanding that a person's time is valuable. Too bad... they do good work when you can get them to show up... But it isn't good enough to beg for....

Was scheduled for a Saturday disconnect because I am moving my mobile home. I called them back on Saturday because it turned out that it could be moved to Monday. This was not big a deal, I understand if they were coming Saturday and that would be fine. I received no call back if they were coming or not. I called Monday morning to see what was going on, and their response was, "Sorry we just were not able to get out there on Saturday, out of sight out of mind". The only negative impact I had was not knowing if they were ever going to come, which they didn't. I decided not to reschedule because they don't seem to care when a customer needs something done.

This is a great company. I had an issue they came the same day, when they were super busy. I am so grateful for that. They guy that showed up was awesome. They figured out the issue super fast. They let me know it was something the city needed to fix and they already had called them to come and fix it. Also the lady answering the phone was amazing. They really know how to treat there customers.

Called on a Monday and said they would be out on Tuesday. Called back Tuesday at 4PM and was told they called on that morning. But guess what! No call on my phone or my neighbors which they had both numbers! Then I was told they would be out the next day. Did not show up or call! I will not be recommending this company or call them again!!

I have used Jerry Owens several times, both commercially and residentially. Their service and expertise is top notch and always professional. When I need lights rewired, TVs hung on walls, speakers run, etc., I call Jerry Owens Electric.

His son Jerry Owens Jr made it a point to write on Facebook a black woman should leave the county in which she reported her boss telling her he agreed with lynchings and pointy white hats. Sad! Where’d Jr learn it, where’s his white hat?

I have never been referred to someone and been treated so poorly. If you need it done within a months time...they are not a good fit.
