Stride Pest Control

0/5 ★ – Deeply disappointing experience, poor communication, and billing pressure We contacted Stride for a carpet beetle issue. They insisted we sign up for their standard plan first, saying they’d customize treatment on the day of service. On the service date, the technician arrived ~3 hours early and asked to start spraying inside while my wife was 9 months pregnant. We asked him to leave and return later. I told him to come back in at least two hours once people were out of the house. About one hour later, he returned and began placing chemicals/traps outside without our go-ahead. I asked him to stop and wait. When we reviewed the products, most were designated neurotoxins and not acceptable for use around children. I requested very limited use (about one-third of what he brought). In the end it didn't work anyway and we had to contract other help. He said they’d apply a steep discount since we were not doing the full service. Despite that, Stride billed us at full price and, despite repeated requests, did not cancel the subscription (which we didn’t want in the first place). They then called daily (sometimes twice a day) for payment. They even dispatched someone for a 3-month follow-up; we asked that person to leave immediately. Their team kept refusing to cancel until the full amount was paid, and the balance kept increasing. Their follow-up email later cited an account balance of $352.90 (initial service $161.29 + three monthly invoices of $63.87 each, starting June 26) and said cancellation would only be finalized after payment. Bottom line: Be very careful before working with this company. Read the contract in detail. If you need pest control for a specific issue, I recommend finding a provider willing to do one-off work with clear, upfront terms. In my experience, Stride was not reliable and created avoidable stress during a sensitive time for our family.

Stride Pest Control is also extremely responsive if you have any needs in-between services. Everyone is always easy to work with and friendly. Highly recommend.

Just had service today and Ramone was super courteous as the service techs usually are. He finished in a decent amount of time and gave a report on the finished job. I've used this service for the past few years and it's always simple and easy.
