House Call Pest Control

This is a very terrible business. Don't use them! However, they were not always this way. I've used their termite pest control services since June 2006. I never had any problems with their services until October 2022, when I've saw a termite trail coming from the ground, going in and out one of my bay windows in my back yard. On May 2020, my house was treated with a Booster that was supposed to prevent subterranean termites from coming into my home. However it didn't work. A guy from House Call came out and treat my home with Prothour. After two weeks the termites still was present. Then another guy from House Calls came and sprayed Termidor, which killed them. This situation damaged my entire bottom area of my bay windows. They inspected my house for several weeks. And on March 2023 another trail (smaller) appeared in the back of my home. First, I called them and later cancelled and used another Termite Pest Control company that retreated my entire house and killed the 2nd trail. I'm not going back to House Call.

Ed Rowley did our first home purchase inspection back in 2013. The inspection was provided with a nice 33 pages in PDF format and printed copy. He's good at catching all those small details, many of those are not necessary. He did missed two major issue with our central air box has a big leaks on the bottom, a year later we end up have to replace the whole AC/Heating unit for $6000. Also he did catch the new roof shingles repair and the windows beneath it with moisture damage but that roof repair was fraud! We still experience the leaks for the pass 5 years, tear apart the windows beneath and replace it 3 months ago. Last weekend the same leaks again. Went check the roof during one day of non stop rain. I found four spot leaking in our roof due to some loose and exposed nails. I bought some roof sealant caulk tube went up there found 4 expose nails that was not nail correctly under the shingle. The roof was replaced in 2008 by some people not doing a good job. But it's a blame that he didn't catch this on his inspection as I also found about 20-30 expose nails total, few other are worse than one pictured but haven't leak yet. So far the entire windows replacement, moldy and the AC/Heating unit cost me 10k.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! I would give them zero stars if I could. Had my house tented for $2200. Great price, but the company DID $3200 IN DAMAGE TO MY ROOF THAT THEY WON’T TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR. The fact they put an "at your own risk" clause in their contract means they will CRUSH AND WALK ON EVERY TERRA COTTA TILE THEY WANT. The worst company for pest control in the whole state!!! BEWARE!!!

This is NOT A LEGIT HOME INSPECTION! Do not pay these people for "peace of mind" in your home purchase. Our inspector, Drew Illes missed MAJOR issues with our home— rat infestation in the attic, improper electrical wiring, large hole in the roof that has caused water damage in drywall (home owners tried to paint over but has now become very visible)— these are just to name a few. Frankly I am shocked that this amount of negligence is not illegal! This is a company promising a service they don’t deliver while collecting hundreds of dollars of your money.

Used them for a home inspection for a house i was trying to purchase, Inspection was overpriced for the work done, as I'm a pretty good DIY-er, their inspection was mostly visual and how to operate appliances, which were all new to begin with. Within a few weeks I started getting marketing sales calls from local companies to sell me certain equipment and services that wasn't in the home, i.e. ADP alarm company. This was very disturbing to me so I persisted in asking where they got my name and number with the information about equipment installed in the house I'm trying to buy. I was told that house call has a contract with them and they share information. Of coarse no one at house call will reply about this. This should be illegal. DON'T TRUST THEM. Owner replied that this is the wrong location. My email from the home inspector says this is the home office, same phone number. Sounds like another red flag?

Scammers. I paid for the home inspection, they missed the giant Formosan termite nest in the closet but sold us on the $2,200 tenting for a little evidence of dry wood termites. Called another company who said they would have just spot treated those for $100. Full teardown to replace studs because of those formosans, saw it immediately my first day in the house clear as day, big old nest bursting out of the corner. Tenting was already paid for, so went ahead and lo and behold they tore off a big piece of gutter, busted off a chimney for the water heater, and broke a sapling tree in the yard for no reason.
