I was SCAMMED by this "company". Redmond Garage Door provided Ronald (Ron) within 2 hours, he appeared in an unmarked van and insisted I NOT open my garage door as it would be dangerous (door would only open 1 foot befoe he arrived and I suspected something was broken as there was a loud "crack/pop" when I opened it the day before. ) He gave me many reasons I needed to replace both springs and quoted over $800 for parts and labor. I asked to get a second opinion, he lowered the price to $500 CASH. I was stupid and fell for it, drove to the bank while he replaced the springs, the door works fine now BUT I have no paperwork, warranty, receipt, let alone his last name, license number, even anything with Redmond Garage Door printed on it. I'm just a little old lady who got "taken" by a crook. Only smart thing I did was write down his license plate when I left for the bank so will be reporting him and Redmond Garage Door too BBB immediately. Jan

The technician who showed up was quite polite and noted that it would be an expensive job that should be done under my warranty. I went back to the manufacturers, and they have agreed to finish the job. GDF reacted promptly, and their advice was greatly appreciated.
