Ryan August Exteriors

If I could give 3.5 stars I would. I prematurely put 2 stars without contacting Ryan first about my grievances which I agree wasn't fair. He did my roof in Fall 2023 with class IV IR shingles. Right after the project, I found dozens and dozens of nails and staples littered throughout my yard and driveway. I picked them up and moved on just grateful I didn't get one in a tire. This spring, I got up on the roof to clean the gutters and realized there were still dozens of nails and staples on the roof and in my gutters (see photo). A couple nails and staples here and there is understandable but there were so many. There was also lots of shingle debris in my yard and left on the roof. There were areas where the shingles were not properly tucked under siting next to the house. Most disappointing, the ridge cap was done WITH THE OLD 20 YEAR-OLD SHINGLES (see photo). By the spring, they were cracking and lifting up thus exposing nails underneath. He states he did this to tie into my neighbor's roof as I live in a townhouse. It was cost cutting and neglect if you ask me. There's no reason to nail old shingles back onto the roof. After seeing my poor review, he came out the next day to take a look. He spent most of the time contradicting me and trying to justify his shortcomings. Instead of being accountable and ready to fix any problems, he was argumentative. He agreed to fix the ridge cap with new shingles and originally said he would charge me $75 to do it. Eventually we settled on him doing it for free if I updated this review. He came out the next day and it was done right with new shingles and sealed properly. He offers a fair price but the quality is lacking. To be fair, he was very understanding when I needed to wait a week to finish paying him for the job. I wish it would have just been done right in the first place and he would've cleaned up after himself.

Ryan was awesome to work with. He installed new metal fascia and soffit on our outbuilding. We was super responsive and communicative. He made quick work of our project, and we couldn't be happier with the results. He's so good, I'm planning on hiring him for our next roofing project. So glad he was recommended to us by our HVAC contractor. We 100% recommend Ryan.

I had called Ryan for a small job necessary to facilitate another repair. He responded immediately and despite the small size of the job, he agreed to help me out. He and his crew did a great job! Ryan also advised me that the May hail storm had done significant damage to my roof. My insurance company agreed. Ryan handled submitting both the estimate and final billing to my insurance company. He made the whole process effortless for me. When the roof was done everything was completely clean in the yard and around the house. And my new roof looks great! Ryan and his crew were very friendly and professional. Extremely pleased and would highly recommend Ryan August Exteriors!

It was going to be a few months before my roof was going to be replaced due to a tree needing removed from my property. Ryan said we needed to do a patch of the several missing shingles so no damage would happen. When the roof and gutters were done everything looked amazing. Very professional and will hire Ryan again.

I met Ryan prior to the pandemic to replace my roof. When the pandemic hit my work demand increased- I work as an RN and everyone's world was turned upside down. Before the pandemic I gave Ryan a deposit and the intention was to have the work done. Well- because of circumstances out of my control Ryan was never able to do the work. Ryan completely understood and gave me a refund on my deposit. He's an honest professional with integrity and I regret not seeing it through. I can assure anyone considering Ryan August Exteriors that you can't go wrong using his services.

Ryan is timely, hard-working and does a superior job. We hired him to replace the roof on our home - he took extra care to make sure everything was cleaned up and done with excellence. My husband also uses Ryan to help with construction jobs and has never been disappointed!

Ryan August recently put a roof on my 2 story home. The installation was very quick and the crew did a fabulous job of keeping the plants and other ornamental s around the house from damage. We were rather picky with the selection of the new shingles and Ryan bent over backwards getting the samples we needed to make a decision. The yard was left clean and in the same condition as when they arrived. I highly recommend them.
