*update... they did the typical copy and paste response but they have already called prior to my review. After a phone call that left nothing resolved and a whole lot to be desired, I went ahead and wrote my review. There is nothing left to discuss but to save face, they are writing it here that they wish to "speak with me regarding the issue". A simple quote for gutters turned into a 30-minute upselling by Chris! Claiming he can get me the best price and will undercut my current GC on foundation repairs, brick repair, roofing repair, etc. I explained to him multiple times that I do not wish to undercut my GC, and the "cheapest price" is not what we are interested in. I only want a quote for gutters and fascia repair. Didn't stop him, he kept pushing, asking about the foundation warranty, "what does the realtor want done? I can get the best price, send me the list", and who did my roofing inspection. On and on. I explained that, as a GC who works with subs, I certainly do not like undercutting subs for "cheaper work." At this point, he then asks, "Oh, is that your mommy's company? Maybe your daddy's" Excuse me?! No, sir, you may leave. He then texts me a day later, telling me that he never got measurements at the initial appointment. Wasn't that the point?? Too busy upselling to bother looking at the actual problem? He tells me (doesn't ask) that he will be coming back out. No, you are not, we are not using you. His texts continue that it's already been arranged, and he wants to know why we won't use him. Now the office is calling, wanting to know what happened. Well, there you go. A simple 'no thank you' after your estimator failed to do what was asked and spent the entire time pushing other sales, all of which were denied, has turned into a 1-star review and calling out your estimator publicly. Note- don't upsell your client when they're not asking for it, and don't assume a woman's construction role was given to her by her "mommy" or "daddy". It's beyond unprofessional and just rude.
