Rodrigo did a fantastic job and resolve my plumbing problems in no time. He was very organized and knowledgeable on the task. He carefully explained what was the problem and demonstrated what he is going to do. He left the place clean, nice and neat. Highly recommended.

I want to share my experience so others can be aware before hiring this company. Rooter Man advertised their service for $49, but after arriving and performing a camera inspection and hydrojet, they told me that I urgently needed a D-scaling to prevent potential foundation damage. The technician named Sam strongly emphasized that this had to be done immediately. They charged me $6,800 just for the D-scaling. Afterward, they claimed to have found a damaged area. However, when I hired another plumbing company to double-check, their camera inspection showed no damage in that spot—it was simply the sink connection to the drain. Later, Rooter Man said there was "major damage" under the middle of my dining room and gave me a shocking estimate of $44,000 to repair it. I asked another licensed plumbing company to inspect the same area; they confirmed there was only one small damaged section, and the total repair—including camera work and hydrojet cleaning—cost me $5,800. In addition, the second company found that the D-scaling done by Rooter Man had left debris inside the pipe, which they had to clean up. After doing some research, I learned that D-scaling typically costs between $800 and $1,200, not $6,800. I’m very disappointed with Rooter Man for severely overcharging me for the D-scaling and attempting to upsell an unnecessary $44,000 repair. At the same time, I’m thankful I sought a second opinion and avoided spending that large amount. I hope my review helps others make informed decisions and always get multiple estimates before authorizing major plumbing work.

BUYER BEWARE! Their Google reviews looked good, but poor Yelp reviews were closer to our experience. I don't think I've ever left a negative review, but the circumstances of my recent experience with Rooter Man left me both baffled and frustrated. While our technician was friendly and his work seems solid, the initial inspection and service quote continued to grow and become more eye-poppingly expensive. The nature in which one issue suddenly led to another was exaggerated and eventually felt like predatory pricing. After our initial $50 backed-up drain inspection, they recommended hydro-jetting. The $1000-ish hydro jetting price felt high, but our need was immediate, so we continued onward. The hydro-jetting revealed a disjointed pipe connection where our property line pipe met the main sewer line. Replacing this disjointed section of pipe would cost us $4200, which again felt high, but we agreed as we could see on the camera that there was in fact a disjointed pipe that was causing the back-up. When they dug up this area and began to repair the disjointed pipe, they found roots in the main line. They showed us this section of pipe containing roots, but claimed the camera couldn't make it past the roots to evaluate the rest of the pipe. They claimed the rest of the pipe could be just as bad. Through the use of inflammatory language and potentially disastrous what-if circumstances, they recommended we replace the entirety of the main line all the way to where it met the city sewer for a total of $20,000. This is when we started to get second and third opinions, something I wish we'd have done sooner. All of those other plumbing companies recommended we finish the disjointed pipe repair, resume the hydro-jetting, and then investigate the remaining pipe to assess its condition before agreeing to replace. These other companies also gave us lower quotes for all of the services already performed, which was eye-opening. Rooter Man was reluctant to do what we asked, but eventually they agreed to finish the job they started and then run the camera for us. Once the disjointed section of pipe was repaired/replaced, the Hydro-jetting easily cleared the roots and revealed that the rest of the pipes were in good condition. The roots were only in a small section of the piping and came from a dead tree, which they then tried to convince us could return, even though the tree was clearly dead... Their initial $20,000 pipe replacement quote then miraculously came down to $10,000. We declined. The whole experience felt like they were trying to give us doomsday scenarios in order to milk as much money out of us as possible. They knew we'd only recently moved into the home, and they were combative whenever we asked for further evidence or discussion on pricing. When we questioned which services were actually necessary versus preventative, everything was painted as immediately necessary. I didn't appreciate the way they spoke to my wife, nor how each new issue was described as a disaster if we didn't act immediately. In the end, we paid the $4200 for hydro jetting and for a small section of piping to be replaced. They also broke our garden irrigation, some brick pavers, and uprooted some plants that weren't restored. When we told them this, they outright denied it. Thankfully we had pictures that were irrefutable, and they did repair the damaged irrigation. We've had no issues or communication with them since. If they'd been forthright with us instead of operating as they did, I would have used them again. The quality of the work appears solid, but their business manner and customer service approach was horrendous. Based on the way they chose to conduct business, I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

I would be very careful dealing with this company. They quoted me an excessive amount to replace the main line. When I got a second quote they said they would match the price. The second quote was over 4,000 dollars less. They truly have no shame.

Unlike Roto-Rooter who tried a bait and switch on me today, Rooter Man told me prices up-front, showed up in about an hour and got the job (a little more complicated than expected) in 30 minutes. My tech was smart, capable and very respectful. Five-stars well earned.
