The Garage Door Pros

These guys bought Sonoma Overhead Doors (SOD) and ruined it. I am general contractor who solely used SOD for the past 12 years and my father used for 15 years before me and it was always a great experience. Now...They have the worst customer service, rude, and are not honest business people. We have a project we went into contract with them over 4 months ago and still have not received product. My clients are furous and I can't give them a straight answer because Garage door pros won't give a straight answer to me. I highly recommend using someone else.

Had them install a new door opener (Craftsman) 2 1/2 years ago. Cost me $50 for the estimate and $150 to install. Last week after power outage had to manually open and close. Would not work electronically. So tried to fix but pulley broke (plastic). Ordered one from Sears $18 with shipping. It broke. Ordered a second one from Walmart, $5. Called Garage Pros to fix door with part i supplied. They said it needed to be loosened to install pulley. Installed it and it broke. Then looked at my installation manual and said it was missing the spreader. Wait! You guys installed this and it has worked fine with obviously no spreader. Charged me $197 and fixed NOTHING!!! Never using them again!!

After a delay of two months by screwup on order, got an upscale, great door through them one year ago. Ordered & Installed by Frank, a very knowledgable and responsive professional. Minor problem developed 11 months after installation, found to be in need of simple silicone spray of guiderails. Due to hosting a burned out couple, in our home, who lost home in recent Santa Rosa fires, I was four days late, after warranty, in requesting a brief check which took less than 15 minutes to rectify. Owner, Louie, hard-balled me into paying $197.50 for this brief visit that should have been comped/covered in 1 yr warranty for good customer relationship. We had recommended this company many times this past year. Never Again! We will return to a reasonable Santa Rosa competitor. Oddly, my orig. posting was not posted...wonder why? Capt & Mrs. R. I had a very bad experience they came out worked on my garage and shortly after it was having more problems I called them and they made an appt for between 12-2 and then at 1:30 called and said it was the motor and they weren't coming out. After calling us at least 20 times they deide that its the motor with out looking at. Then had the nerve to say they were business men but yet they wouldnt come out and look at it. They are supposed to be the pros not me and if they were why didnt they say that what it was after maybe the first 5 calls. But no they called 20 times asking different questions and then call and say they aren't going to come out. Not only that but the first time they came out they made an appt and didnt call until an hour after the appt time to tell me they had to reschedule yet they didnt make it to that appt either finally after the 3rd appt they came out. Put the cable back on but yet couldnt get my garage door to open for 1/2 hour. I would NEVER recommend this company.

Ben and George came out on time and assessed my garage door problem right away. They were very informative and professional. I will definitely call them again.

They put a roll-up door in at my business. Very professional installation. They even came each morning to help us open the old door until the new one arrived. That's going the extra mile. Thanks again guys.
