Simon was the primary contact for this project, and he was a delight to work with. Very kind and professional, he was great at clearly explaining next steps and managing my expectations from start to finish. I got the sense that he truly had my family's best interest at heart, and that he was going to make sure we were attended to in a timely manner. If I recall correctly, we were Rainbow Restoration's first lead abatement contract through Kent County's KCLEAR program. Despite the new terrain, they worked in a well-coordinated, efficient manner. When we applied to KCLEAR, we had no idea what to expect. It was recommended to us through our meetings with the Healthy Homes Coalition, and we figured it couldn't hurt to know whether lead was present in our home. While the majority of the findings were benign, the most serious lead concern was in our attic space, where lead paint was flaking severely on the ceiling. This was a space that we used to hold old baby items, toys, furniture, mattresses, and other odds and ends. I was horrified to discover the health risk. The areas that were cleaned, sealed, and painted over now look so beautifully refreshed, and it has given us so much peace of mind knowing that our children are safer now. Every single member of the Rainbow Restoration team was a delight to meet and work with. But what truly amazed me was Simon's generosity of knowledge. During our final walkthrough of the house, I shared with Simon a concern I had about some mold growing around our bathtub. I was hoping he would give me a quote for remediation and repair, but instead he shared that it was a very small and straightforward job that my husband and I could easily complete ourselves and for a fraction of the cost. Not only that, but he later texted me a list of products to purchase for the project along with links and step by step instructions for completing the work. This goes above and beyond anything I've ever experienced from a contractor. Not only did I feel fully seen and respected throughout the lead abatement even though the KCLEAR program targets low income households, but to have Simon share his wealth of knowledge freely instead of taking advantage of the opportunity for another work order is remarkable. I cannot emphasize enough my gratitude for Simon and team's professionalism and kindness. I highly recommend them for their services!

N/E side of Grand Rapids. August 2024 We had a pipe burst in our bathroom that flooded our basement and some of the upstairs. Our insurance called in Rainbow Restoration. They put in so much work without complaint. They were all so sweet and hard-working. I was definitely impressed. We had Blaine as our (lead tech?). What a super nice guy. I honestly can't remember the names of all the other folks that helped out, (sorry guys!) but not a bad egg among them. They were all great. It was a terrible job for them. It flooded our kids playroom /our exercise room. I felt so sorry for them because it was a wet messy wreck. So many Legos, dolls, kids costumes, 2 treadmills and a Bowflex to remove. There was a huge pile of wet junk piled up in the middle of the room. They basically had to gut the whole thing. I would not have wanted to be doing their job. For real. They were really cool about it though. Such great attitudes for a bunch of college aged kids who probably aren't getting paid all that much. I tried to tip every one of them, but they all refused. I can't recommend this bunch enough. I'm actually going to miss chatting with them about anime and video games. I didn't talk to the bosses that much, but that's probably a good sign. It's all cleaned up now and there were no issues. Thanks to Blaine and all of your coworkers at Rainbow! **I took some after photos, but no before. I probably would have been embarrassed to show them anyway.

Highly recommend! Simon and Tyner were out to our house to help determine the cause of some water spots. They gave me all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Honest, respectful, friendly guys I'd be happy to call again!

Julie, Melanie and the entire content crew worked super hard and efficiently to pack up my belongings into storage units so my pole barn could be repaired. When they returned Julie and her helper transferred the items back in a very orderly and efficient way! Can't thank the crew and this company enough! Total professionals and I wouldn't hesitate to call them again....Thank you!

My son recently purchased his first home and was gracious enough to allow the owner a few additional weeks to stay in the house while he looked for a new place to stay. When my son finally got the keys, we found out that the owner had allowed his 8 big dogs free range of the entire house while he was out of town looking for a place. Every room of the house was covered in dog feces. The smell was unbearable. We were devastated. The realtor referred us to Rainbow Restoration out of Byron Center. Don and his crew proceeded to work on the property for 4 days straight. By the time they were finished, we were able to go in and do the finish cleaning to get it move-in ready. Although there was a little residual odor, every day the smell is better and better and is now pretty close to being odor free. Even after they were finished with the job, Don continued to be supportive towards us by schooling us on the proper products to use if there is any lingering order in the drywall or other ares of the house as well as how we can pursue any legal actions we need to take to recoup the money from these unexpected circumstances. I don't know how we would have handled this disaster had it not been for Don at Rainbow Restoration. He has truly been a life saver to my entire family.

I would highly recommend this company and team to anyone. They went above and beyond and were in constant contact with me in relation to when they would arrive and when they were leaving the property. If something new came up that they hadn’t anticipated I was made aware straight away. Simon and Mike obviously know what it takes to make a team and there selection in employees is a statement to that. Lucas, cainon and Josh were always willing to answer my questions and when I would come visit the house walk me through what was going on. Cainon gets a bigger shout out because of his name ( inside joke ) but that goes to show you how above and beyond they go to make me relaxed and confident that my home was in great hands. Eugene , Sam and Jacob thank you for your tireless work. It’s very rare these days to find a company that’s employees personify reliability and trust. They will be my first recommendation to anyone who asked about helping someone out when you literally feel their house is falling apart. Thank you guys so much for your hard work and attitude. Were very pleased with the prompt, professional & courteous service we received from Rainbow. . We were shocked to find the ceiling in our lower level falling down due to a hot water leak. Rainbow came out in less than 6 hours and reassured us that everything would be ok. Then the best part was they followed up promptly and did everything that they promised they would do. When they were finished they helped us put the furniture back and "life was good again!" Will definitely call them again with any future problems.
