NTR delivers what it promises and does not promise what it cannot deliver. It is refreshing in this day and age when disaster strikes in what is likely a family's greatest physical investment--their home. This is the situation we found ourselves in during the fall of 2023. A small leak behind a wall in the kitchen led to the development of mold. The original company we hired to perform the remediation and restoration was less than honest. After 3 months of frustration with them, we called North Texas Restoration. That same afternoon, Don was standing in our now-destroyed kitchen, accessing the mess left behind by the previous company and walking us through the process he would follow. Don patiently answered every question, listened to what we would love our kitchen to look like, and offered suggestions (99% of which we went with without one iota of pressure on his part). He explained his background in the industry and why he chose to establish NTR (the industry needs good, honest people who will help others when disaster strikes). Standing in our kitchen, we felt the burden lifting off our shoulders. Before he left, we understood the timeline for the completion of the project, our budget, etc. Two days later, his team was in our house doing the "move out," tearing out the mess left behind by the other company, etc. We received regular progress reports via phone calls and text messages. We were allowed to come and see the progress made. He promised we would return to our house by April, and he and his team delivered. If you were to walk into our home today, you would never suspect our kitchen was once a disaster area. What you would notice is how beautiful it is. Our experience with NTR was so positive that we would never consider having anyone else work on our home. We are already discussing having them back in to work on the master bathroom! Cruise Chaos to Calm: North Texas Restoration to the Rescue! In Texas, we don't get much winter weather, but when we do, it sure knows how to make a mess. During the last big freeze, my family and I were soaking up the sun on a cruise in the middle of the ocean, blissfully unaware of the chaos unfolding back home. That is until my neighbor started blowing up my phone, frantic that water was pouring out of my house like Niagara Falls—from both the front and back doors. This is not the kind of news you want to receive when you're surrounded by miles of water, with spotty phone service, and no idea what's happening. I tried logging into my security cameras, but with the power out, they were as useful as a screen door on a submarine. To top it off, our electronic locks were frozen solid, so my poor neighbor couldn't even get inside. It was a recipe for disaster. Enter North Texas Restoration. After a not-so-helpful encounter with the first company my insurance, USAA, recommended (hello, automated phone service), I hit the jackpot with the second call. A friendly, reassuring voice answered the phone, calming my frantic nerves in seconds. They told me to focus on enjoying my vacation, assured me that my insurance was solid, and promised to take care of everything. And boy, did they deliver! My neighbor said their team was on-site within 45 minutes, working magic to get the lock unfrozen, shutting off the water, and assessing the damage. While I was still in vacation mode, I was able to log into their collaboration portal, where I could see real-time updates, photos, and videos of their progress. It was like having a personal restoration reality show on my phone! Every time I checked, there was new information, and by the time we docked, they had everything under control. Six days later, when we finally made it home, North Texas Restoration had done it all. The house was dried out, the frozen pipe was repaired, and the place was ready for the rebuild team. They had even packed up our entire home, storing everything in pods so perfectly that the essentials were right there when we opened the doors. It was like they knew exactly what we'd need, right down to the socks! Their estimate was so detailed, it was like reading a novel—except way more exciting because it meant we could finally get back to normal. They'd already met with the adjuster, who accepted their rebuild estimate on the spot. The whole process was as smooth as butter, and our adjuster even told us he was so impressed with their work that he wouldn’t be holding back depreciation—he deposited the funds that evening. From start to finish, the North Texas Restoration team made what could have been a nightmare into a stress-free experience. The communication was stellar, the organization was top-notch, and the quality of their work blew us away. Special shoutout to Don, Jason, Juan, Lance, Gina, Alex, and especially Pam for their hard work, dedication, and genuine care. After this 7-month journey, they feel like family, and we couldn’t be happier to have had them on our side. And we can't forget Alex—thanks for suggesting that doggie door! Outstanding Recommendation for North Texas Restoration of 6060 North Central Expressway, Dallas, and here is why. . . We were very fortunate to have Don Triplett take our case. Our water leak situation was getting nowhere with an insurance adjuster who gave us faulty (illegal) advisement and then put a 3 to 5 business day pause on every communication we initiated with him. Once Don and his team took over, appropriate water mitigation was immediately started and our journey back to restoration began. As so often is heard, our insurance company started from the beginning of our claim to undercut the cost of material and labor they allowed us. It was Don and his team who stood up for us and ensured that we received the rightful value and fair market process and labor costs our insurance policy allowed us. Another benefit of working with North Texas Restoration is that they run a second shift, work weekend hours, and operate a 24-hour emergency response. What this meant was while we were sleeping at a hotel or busily taking care of the ensuing crisis details that a plumbing leak created in our lives, various members of NTR's team were working away during non-standard hours on our behalf. While our insurance adjuster had tried to push away our communication efforts and delay the work getting done quickly, Don's crew worked to our benefit at all hours to speed the process along. During the time we were working with NTR, we personally or through e-communication met several different members of the team. These experts included a certified mitigation officer, contractors and carpentry professionals, expert household packers, outstanding admin and communication people, and in-house council--all were terrific. Every single person affiliated with the company was honest, considerate, professional, and genuinely caring. If you are involved in a fire or a water leak crisis that brings you to be searching through these reviews, I am so sorry you are in this situation. However, there is good news: If you ask Don Triplett and his North Texas Restoration team to guide you through this difficult time, you will find you have an advocate and a professional to interface with the insurance carrier as well as a trusted resource to count on for every step of the process needed for your home. Words cannot express the sincere appreciation that my family and I have for the North Texas Restoration team. In January 2024, we experienced a devastating flood in half of our first floor due to a water heater copper pipe bursting. Our neighbor experienced a similar issue last year, and they heavily recommended them, so we choose them. We could not be more happy with the WIDE range of services that Don and team provided: 1. Immediately dispatched a crew to pack out any furniture, etc. in the damaged rooms, including a pool table, so it could be housed in storage during the repairs. Work was done quickly and professionally. Also provided a second experienced team to help us move into our temporary home, as well as the move back. 2. Provided all dry-out fans, and professionally sealed rooms. Don also was on-site throughout the dry-out period with a high quality imaging and moisture reading camera to ensure no hardwood replacements were performed prematurely. 3. Don referred us to a foam injection company to fill voids below our slab that was a cost-effective and proper repair. His referral did an amazing job. 4. Don and his team have over 35 years of experience understanding the duty owed to clients by insurance companies, and he was an incredible resource for us as we navigated through that very complicated adjuster and insurance process. Both my adjuster and insurance rep commented that they had an immense respect for Don's knowledge, attention to detail, and demeanor. 5. Don has an excellent long-standing partnership with Jim Lord of Lord Homes who we hired to be our primary contractor, and both of them provided high quality services and products every step of the way during our rebuild. Their valuable working relationship increased the efficiency of our rebuild. In addition, Don has always responded quickly to any phone call or text no matter how busy he is which meant the world to me and my family given the emotional period we encountered throughout out process. 6. Above all, Don and his team are simply good and caring people who go above and beyond to help their clients through traumatic experiences, no matter the size and scale. I recently referred Don and Jim to my good friend who just went though his own water damage, and Don and Jim repeated their excellent service with his rebuild. Though five stars on this review is the most I can indicate, I would give North Texas Restoration six stars if I could. You will not find a more knowledgeable expert with Don to satisfy the myriad of possible issues that require any type of restoration and rebuild, from the very beginning immediately after an event till the end of the massive effort. Many companies may help in one area or another thus requiring you to cobble together contacts and project manage. But, Don's ability to facilitate the end-to-end across all areas is the differentiator that made our rebuild more efficient so we had a one-stop-shop for all of our needs, and an expert available to answer our questions. After our recent water remediation experience we highly recommend North Texas Restoration! Beyond the initial remediation, where their expertise was clear and their commitment to doing the job properly went beyond what we had seen from previous companies, the help in dealing with the insurance company has been invaluable.
